Yeah I have a police report, I haven't looked at it. My dad dealt with all the paper work because I was in a fog after it happened. He had to have been cited though. Failure to yeild or something like that.

Great.

I'm considering suing the kid, but we'll see.
Like its been said, it takes a while for you to feel the full effect of an accident of that calibur. Keep up with the check ups and keep records of everything.

And please please please sue his ***. Too often douchebags go unpunished. Do it so that you may teach this kid some respect and spare someone else from being subjected to the same fate.

Best Wishes.

I'm truly very sorry for you loss; but I must echo the suggestion that you have yourself more thoroughly checked over. The human body is marvellously adaptable and it's perfectly normal for initial symptoms to not convey the full story. If at all possible, I'd much prefer you didn't have to contend with years of odd random symptoms for something that went undiagnosed.

Regarding the 17 year old, over and above the loss that his family should be compelled to pay VERY handsomely for (both the car and your injuries), I am horribly appalled by his incredible rudeness. His parents both owe you an apology, to your face.

Please get well soon, and look after your health.

That really sucks, My dad wrecked my car out at a Drivers Educational event, the damage was very similar to what yours was. but probably a little less, and we were given an estimate of 14,000 to repair it. The Insurance company totaled it, I would think yours is probably totaled as well.

Glad to hear you are ok

DONT SAY THAT CHRIS!

Kim, sorry to see your baby gone, but I am SO glad you were not hurt. I will reiterate what Mazurfer said. Please get thoroughly checked out, and dont sign off on anything. You have 2 years in AL at least to make a claim on this incident, no matter what it is, especially medically. Please check your states laws. I learned from experience.

With that kind of impact you need to get some epsom salts.......You are going to be sore in places you didn't know existed. They will help.

Stay in touch please and let us know how you are.

Damn, I know how much you loved your car, but so glad your OK, that's the most important thing, of course.

So sorry to hear that this happened...

Your 8 gave its life to save yours. And, at the end of the day, you are ok, which is most important. And, not to downplay the situation, but you'll get another car. As much as you loved Aiden, "you" are what made the car special...

Hope all the aftermath goes smoothly. And, you know that all of us are mourning with you over Aiden...

Damn girl, what a terrible way to start a new year. Glad to hear everyone is ok. I always slow down at intersections just for the exact reason. Soo many people simply don't know or care to follow proper driving procedures. Hope it all turns out well for you.

Luckily I hit the curb and the guardrail enough to slow me down so I didn't... but the car is gone. I'm not hurt. I'm a bit sore from the airbag hitting me but that's all.

No, I probably won't be picking up another RX-8. I love the cars, but there's too many memories from my old one. It just won't be enjoyable to drive. Whatever I do get though, it'll be a stick and an import. I'll still bum around the boads and I'll probably be parting out sometime soon.

These cds were wedged FIRMLY between my driver seat and the center console... they got thrown everywhere. My phone was also on my passenger seat and got thrown onto the dashboard and broke into two pieces and screen was also cracked, that's how hard he hit me.

... This is all that's left of the front bumper.
Aww Kimmy I'm so sorry to hear that. Thank God that no person died! That's what I was thinking. Your alive and that's all that matters!! Good luck with your new car. Lotus? LoL...

Oh and Kimmi... definatly sue him.. just remember your really suing his insurance company not him directly. Trust me if you have a neck injury even minor to you, you'll be needing some physical therapy and your insurance's PiP will only go so far. Your lawyer will take care of anything in terms of bills and fee's. Plus after a year or so you'll have a nice lil bonus check if you will that wont be taxable I got about 4k after everything was said and done with my suite... helped pay for the Kenstyle kit

Oh and LEAKED KIMMI'S NEW RIDE!!
