Racing Stripes on an RX-8....mine.
This forum, from what I've seen, seems to dislike the idea of racing stripes on a RX-8, the few pictures I have seen of them do indeed look like poo because they were done half ***.
My friend Adam does vinyl for a living and he helped me with my stripes today. You will see Adam inthe pictures applying the stripes.
I will get daytime pics tomorrow and post them. So far, I LOVE them. They are 8in wide and spaced 2in apart. In my opinion, if you are doing stripes on a 8, that is the size and spacing to do them.
That little lip part of the trunk was a BITCH for him. It looks like it would be easy but the multiple angles make applying stripes in that area a huge headache.

Thanks! I was thinking white, but I had these laying around my apartment so.... :D
Plus I enjoy the silver. The daytime pics I take tomorrow will give a better idea of how they look.

came out pretty well. One thing I'm unsure of is the hood... I'm thinking it might have looked better if it stopped at the curve maybe for a better flow. But cant say for sure without seeing both ways lol. And as others said, white might have looked better, but silver is more unique I think.

now you need some wheels and a nice drop to go with the racy stripes. it looks like a clean install, guy seemed to know what he was doing, which is good. nothing worse than a bad install.

I agree on the drop. Should be coming soon.
As far as wheels, I'm thinking I should stay with a silver wheel now and to be honest I like the stock wheels so they may just stay. I'd like to see how a dark rim with a polished lip would look with them though. Perhaps a dark bronze.

The pic of your buddy holding the scalpel right above the hood made me nervous. Don't scratch the PAAAAIINT!!!
Looks like it came out pretty nice though, get some better pics in the daylight for us.
