That was exactly what Tiff Needle picks-up when he reviewed the rx-8 in Fifth Gear.

Yeah, I was worried abt it before I got the car but it didn't pose a problem as it doesn't get in the way of shifts.

that is awesome! thanks for the pix! i wish i get to visit mazda at irvine. that engine strut brace is different from the ms ones we've seen. this one looks a lot better

R&T this month ran a story on the ms rx-8. sam mitani drove one in japan, fully equipped a-spec. apparently there is a slight mod on the engine (not more power, just better delivery), though they're being very vague about it. handling sounded awesome! you guys should read it, i thoroughly enjoyed it.

If my memory is correct.....the color of that car is Silver Storm, not Sunlight silver. In the close pic of the rear quarter you can tell. I LOVE that color. Its only on the MS RX8.... sweet...

After my excursion in the canyons, the side pad would be a great asset.

RE is selling, JapanParts.com is too... I am betting the Trussville and Rosenthal are carrying the part as well. $1,500-ish.

i got 2 questions...#1 where in irvine is this place? i would like to go visit...#2 for the mazdaspeed kit, i noticed on some website that the sideskirts go lower than the front kit...i was wondering how it would look if you got just the mazdaspeed front bumper kit (which i love) on the stock US rx8 and how much lower the front would be than the sideskirts of the stock rx8...

from what i saw the real kit sits even all the way around...in my opinion i suggest you get the whole kit or mix it with something else..it would look something like acosta's car...he just has the MS front bumper...also Mazda Headquarters is in Irvine California... and you won't be able to go inside unless you know someone that works inside the building...=(

Wow what a car, very nice pictures. The only thing I'm not sold on is the rear wing. But the rest is awesome thank you for the pictures. Wish I lived there to see it in person.

For the wing, you really have to see it in person... it's much much better than I'd ever thought. Looks like it's floating above the trunk.
