Red dash kit installed with Black/red stock interior
This is the second kit that I have installed from NYCDashes.com. This is the "full kit w/Navigation, with the addition of the sunroof strip (which is an additional optional piece). They have a standard kit, as well as a full, for 8's with or without navigation. They have plenty of colors to choose from. It was hard for me to decide, as they had a black/red carbon fiber, as well as a red on red carbon fiber that all looked nice. I was also contemplating the Black, as it matched perfectly with the piano black peices in our car.
There were a couple of pieces that I did not use, as there were a couple of pieces that came for the automatic, as well as a a piece I did not use that went over the switches on the door panels, and a piece that covered the left side of the dash, around the driver side air vent.
Here's a link to the first kit I installed, along with the help of Snowfl8k. She assisted me in the installation of my kit as well.

As you can see, this link was closed by the mods, given the number of negative comments and negative banter that resulted. Please keep comments to yourself in this post, as it is intended to offer those who may be interested, an opportunity to see what an installed kit may look like in their car. This post is not intended to be a debate over the addition of uneccesary parts to an interior, nor is it posted in the performance section, as this is not a performance upgrade. Thank you for your respect on this, and please feel free to post questions about the kit, or any installation questions...as I may be of some support after installing two of these.
Thanks again, in advance, for your respectful comments.
The first pics are those of the kit as shipped. It comes with plenty of alcohol pads, as well as excellerator which is applied to the dash prior to placing the pieces. The excellerator assist in the bonding of the pieces to the dash. The instructions also suggest heating the rear of each peice prior to installation. This assist in separating the backing off each peice, as well as making it more felxible for some of the more curved peices (such as the steering wheel, door handles....).

The main dash portion
These are before and after pics of the main section of the kit. There are 12 peices that cover the center dash section, as well as 2 peices on the glove box, 2 defroster vents, and two air vents, as well as 2 peices on the steering wheel.
I didn't use the piece that attaches to the dash, left of the steering wheel, which covers the flat portion of the dash around the air vent.

Radio trim
The radio comes with three peices. One that fits the main portion of the radio, as well as an addition piece below and above center. I've decided not to use the center portions...as of yet. I may still get the Flex EDFC installed in the center portion of the radio, and may end up using the peice once trimmed.

Steering Wheel
These are the before/after of the steering wheel pieces. These need to be heated up pretty well to curve over this section. The pieces do stick out a bit, and are even with the buttons on the bottom portion, but do stick out slightly beyond the buttons near the top.

doors
There are four pieces that attach to the front door. I decided not to use the piece that attached to the door switches becaus it does not wrap completely around the piano black piece. The door handle piece is one that needs to be heated pretty well.
The rear door section has three pieces, and an additional piece that extends into the rear seat. Again, the door handle section on the rear door needs additional heat for installation.

glove box and roof
Here's before and after of the glove box. It has three pieces, but I decided not to use the piece that attaches to the handle/key lock section.
The roof comes with three pieces in the full kit. Two pieces that attach to the front overhead light section (1 for the main body/1 for the eyeglass case). There are additional "filler" pieces that fill the space where the sunroof controls would be, for those who do not have them. The rear overhead light piece is just one piece.
I installed an additional (optional part) to cover a strip on the sunroof. This goes the length of the sunroof, where the handle is.

Kwescott,
I'm glad you finally got around to installing your kit. It looks AWESOME with that red interior!
I can't wait to see it in person at the next meet.

Well where do I start, I think I understand where everyone is coming from but you really do have to see the kit in person. I saw Snoflk8s and thought it was nice but in person sooo much better. I do say that is a lot of red, but seems to be a dead on match to the exisitng color. I have been waiting all weekend to see this keith and it looks great. Now you need to by this http://www.mazdaparts.com/ProductDet...000-1112606399
and where did you get the mazdaspeed seat belt pad, I never noticed it when I took her for a spin.
You should take a picture with your lights on at night inside?
Oh and since when has red been a gay color.

the red accents look shiny and add personality to the cabin. congrats on the successful install and am glad you are happy w/ the new look.
as for me... well, i lose enough sleep on just whether to install the stupid front license plate or not. so, for my own sanity, i will be keeping my car as stock as possible... kekekeke
