Now that's a lot of red.

Props for the work, first of all. As for the amount of red in the interior, I guess judgement depends entirely on taste. It would be too much for me (though I have some additional red parts too and also changed from black to red exterior), but I hope you enioy the new look!

Good job Keith! It's really not to my liking either but atleast Keith has the Big Cajones to try something different to make his car stand out. Thumbs up Keith!

The fit and finish of the kit is fantastic! Probably one of the higher quality sticker kits i've ever seen.

Having said that, just not my cup of tea.

Now THAT'S a "Mad Dash" I personally wouldn't mind going that route if they had that kit in piano black.

Definately looks better than having trim pieces painted to match.

Looking Good!

MadDash, they DO have a kit in Piano black.

Kwescott showed me a sample of it and it looks AWESOME. It would be a perfect match

They also have one that looks like Piano black, but is really a dark blue/black carbon fiber weave. Depending on your exterior color, or accents on the inside, that could look nice. I've ordered 16 different samples from them already, and was only dissapointed in a couple of the color choices. The two aluminum ones, as well as the yellow on black carbon fiber. Didn't like those when I received them. They charge you 5 bucks for the samples, but then give you a 5 dollar off coupon if you order a kit....so basically, you get the samples for free if you end up ordering. It was nice to see the actual color before ordering. The only thing with the samples, is that they do not have the protective coating that the finished peices have.

I don't really get what is wrong with the interior in the first place. I kinda like the piano black look.

Not a real big fan of these interior dash kits, but at least it matches..

I agree with you zoomzoom. I looked originally at getting some additional peices in Piano Black. Found a piece that attaches to the steering wheel, but it was indicated for auto's only. And another piece that replaced the door handles. I also found a piece that attached to the front of the ashtray when I first got my car like 18 months ago, but was never able to find the link again.

I was really thinking the black kit at first, but then just thought I would be spending every day getting smears and thumb prints off everything, since I already found myself doing that with the radio piece.

I like the fact that you did what you wanted. I got a lot of slack when I painted my calipers yellow, but then they saw the pics and were like "looks good". Of course I had to hear about John Deere and some other nonsense but they dont really bother me to much, after all, its MY car. I couldn't have done the install, don't think I would have the patience for that kind of detail work.

Pictures dont really tell the story most of the time. Many times people have different comments when they see things in person. I know I wasn't all that impressed with dash kits until I saw two cars at Sevenstock in Irvine this year. The car that won first place in the "People's choice" award for RX8 had a carbon fiber dash, and there was another 8 in the vendors section that had an incredible blue interior. I couldn't afford the custom fiber glassed interior that the vendor's car had, but thought a dash kit would be a more affordable alternative. These were the only two 8's from the whole bunch that had anything done to their interior. It actually was very surprising. These got me to look around to see what products were available.

I have a picture of the yellow 8 that won 1st place, but these are at home and I'll have to post tonight.

I take it that blue one is the custom fibreglass interior. It looks much better. Except the steering wheel, which looks like ****.
