Rotary Heaven in NZ

These were taken at The 4 & Rotary nationals yesterday MereMere drag strip .
Have lots more if someone can tell me how to put the straight into a post .

The car in the 2nd picture had a 20b with a rather lage turbo & ice in intercooler - it did a 7.6s pass

It was a good day, Dam hot though! I particularly liked the Penzoil series 5. It was a shame it was a bit stop start with the breakages and cleaning up the track. Not much you can do about that though. by the way thanks for the info on the pullies i am gonna order one this week

Theres quite a few around now Ive seen a pretty modified blue one in hamilton "noface" and saw a few modified 8's over new years.. ive also heard of a turbo black one in auckland, god only knows what else is out there...

If your interested in organising something these could be some places to start..

www.rotordynamic.co.nz - tash myt be able to help you out...
www.rotahavik.co.nz - have only come across one person with a 8 on there white & turbo..

Cool photos DVS - much better than my sorry attempt .
1RX8 belongs to a guy who has a shop on Te Rapa Straight - I have talked with him but he is not into modding (apart from his MS bodykit) or track days .
Mine is a red also (numberplate very similar) .
will check out those sites & pm you - thanks .

Brettus, yeah i would be keen on a track day at some stage. I really need to get a speed limit remover as the 180k limiter is really gonna suck on the track. It is on my list but i am a bit stretched at the moment.

Not sure if your familiar with the Gun shop owner in Auckland that shot the guy threatening to kill him with the machete and now he is being charged. Well thats me. Anyway that is sucking a lot of my money at the moment. My car is now kind of at the bottom of the list now. I was supposed to be getting a cat back for a bit nicer noise but had to put that on hold at the moment

Rotor , they do a "controlled testing" day at Pukekohe fairly regularly so you don't have to book the track or anything . will PM you
Don't worry about the speed limiter - It will probably only come in to play once per lap pretty close to the end of the backstraight .
Bummer about that charge - sounds like you are getting a raw deal .
