RX-8 Convertible #1

So why do you have to get rid of the back doors for a convertible? Love the pic's, I hope Mazda see's the interest in a convert. As for those who said something is missing in the lines I think it has to do with the back end being too straight in line with the rest of the car. It maybe needs to be raised slightly or somthing. I am waiting for the convert.

Adam;
Thanks for your creativity. Your work is certainly to be admired. With what yuou've done in the past and mazda monitoring this site, i'm sure you'll get an offer some day.
Oone small request. is it possible for you to do the regular RX-8 in titanium Gray as on the 2002 miata SE? Thanks:D

i always like the idea of an RX-8 Covertable! i like the pics you put up here, it really kinda gives you a feel for what it would look like. I've noticed people saying that it looks like somethings missing, and i see it to. just a couple quick questions - I noticed you removed the backdoor - is that gonna be mandatory for the convertable? the freestyle doors was one of the things that really sold me on the car. i think the back end also looks a bit shorter because of that. I still think it looks cool as hell though! let me know if you can find a way to implement the back doors into the convertable!

In theory it would be nice but it just looks pretty blah. Definitely agree with the "something's missing" idea. It looks all the uniqueness was removed from the car.

There's some bug ("feature") in this Vbulletin that disappeared the pics on some old threads, but if someone posts a new attachment to the thread all the old attachments come back. So if you find another thread somewhere with all missing pics, try posting a little .gif in the thread.
