RX8 Grand Tour package

RX8 Grand Tour package
Whats up all?
Test drove a few rides the other day, and ended up with a new RX8. It's a good ride, and is lots of fun. I have to be honest, I didnt know what I was getting myself into as far as how these cars are a little higher maintenance.. but after cruising this forum for the past 3 days and reading the manual twice cover to cover, I think i should be fine as long as I maintain consistent care.
Anyhow.. besides the Grand Tour package I opted for, I suppose my ride is pretty much stock.. opted for the 6 speed (couldnt stomach having an auto transmission in a sports car).
Oh.. had an alarm installed... but thats about it so far. One cool thing about the alarm is that I had the guy install a screamer.. basically, if anyone actually manages to get into this car, a high decible noise akin to 10 smoke detectors going on, sounds off right in their ear..the guy said most people can only last a few seconds before they have to scram. :P
But anyhow.. here are a few pictures of the beast, and my fiance sitting in it. She digs it... (shes a better driver than I am :P )
Not the GREATEST photos.. but ah well...:D

Thanks all...
Took the 350Z out for a spin.. felt kind of 'tubby' .. which ruled out the G35
Took the Mustang GT out.. drove nice.. sounded great with the top down. however once I got inside it, I could tell it wasnt worth that much money. Felt cheap..
Test drove the RX8 twice that day.. hooked!

Good man! I love it when people buy the RX-8 and leave it stock. No spoiler, no ground effects, nothing but a nice interior/exterior and the right colors. I don't mean this to offend anyone else, it's just my personal preference.
I looked at your profile and it says you work as a Lead Artist at a game company in CA? Mind if i ask you which one? Is it a big studio or just a small production house? I'm currently working as a Character Animator in Utah on a film project. You may have heard of Eggington Productions. That's where i work.
EDIT: I just noticed your "where i work" link on your signature... looking through it now so nevermind, but always cool to randomly meet fellow artists

Thanks
I dont plan on leaving her 100% stock... little work here and there and.. oh, we're talking about the car? My mistake :P
I plan on doing some stuff to it.. my first choices would be to get an aftermarket exhaust (any suggestions?), slap a K&N air filter in there (unless anyone has other suggestions), and possibly some 'high performance' spark plugs if I feel they are worth the money.....
After that, Im at a loss! Normally I'd hit the wheels next, but I kind of dig the wheels that came with it....
Anyhow... Ill be cruising the board looking for ideas. All Ive done to it so far is have an alarm installed like I mentioned previous...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Least expensive mod of all? Other than that one, which I am sort of partial to, go with clear corners. From one Velocity Red owner to another...it just has to be done.
As far as an aftermarket cat back, seen and heard the Borla in person but you will find many on here who will swear by their G-Reddy, Racing Beat, HK or waiting for the Magnaflow. All sound nice, from what I hear. K&N? I have it, others swear it makes the car idle rough, heard the same about other brands of Intakes too. I will say this, the K&N I have doesn't seem to effect my idle and it purrs when you put the pedal down. I also made a nice clear window cover that I will soon be posting a DIY on here too. Look soon for front strakes DIY, too. Other than that mentioned, the rest of everything is eye candy and is pleasing to the individual taste. Welcome to the Forum, need any suggestions or advice, or are having troll trouble, don't be afraid to ask. :D

Ok.. I think for my first mod Im going to have to go with the K&N Typhoon intake system. Those clear corners are a good suggestion as well.. I think Ill throw a couple of those on into the mix :P Thanks for the suggestion..
Its been recomended by a few people I know to go with a Borla cat-back exhaust system.. so I figure Ill give that a try as well. Now on a similar note, anyone recomend a good replacement for the cat itself?
also...
Picked up some more blingy-bling this weekend... nabbed an '04 Toyota Tacoma.. heres my fiance and her new ride
-edit- and no, my 8 doesnt have a huge dent on the front driver's side there. Thats a pretty crazy lighting thing going on. Just washed and waxed the beast.. so its ultra shiney -edit-
