Rx8 + Halloween = I am batman.
This was all extremely last minute... but I decided to go for it. A little bit of cardboard, spray paint and a sharpie can go a long way. The costume, however, was a bit of a pain. No party stores had an adult sized Batman costume, so I had to settle for a childs Large... My 'Gauntlets' were at my elbows, and my 'Boots' were in the middle of my shins. Not to mention the untility belt was nearly on my chest... I had the worst case of Bat-wedgie ever!
So without any further adue... NANA NANA NANA NANA BATMAN!!!!
Clearly, the Batmobile... and look! Whos that driving???
BATMAN!
I was really suprised the ones on the wheels never came off, even on the highway... guess masking tape is stronger than I thought! Also, I had at least 3 people ask me "where'd you get them Batman rims!?"
The one on the back was a true testiment to my last minute craftsmanship... but it worked just as well!
I got some priceless reactions from people at redlights and such... and you wouldnt believe the spectical when... "Hey look! Batman is putting gas in the Batmobile!!!"
All in all, for a total of about $30 for the costume and car, it was one of the better Halloween costumes Ive done. My GF dressed up as Catwoman and we blasted the 70's Batman themesong on the stereo whenever we were being gawked at.
Best part was I forgot to take the one symbol off the front of the car the day after, and some dude shouted "Hey Bruce! Bruce Wayne! Batman! I know its you Bruce!"
Lol, thank god for people having a good sense of humor... Halloween was kickass.

Lazi: Someone in Coconut grove (huge street halloween party) asked me if the batmobile was Jet powered, so I revved it up to 9k a few times and shot flames at his ***. Got a nice reaction from the crowd Gotta love having a catless exhaust!

Wow, that is the most awesome Halloween idea I have ever seen!! There's no better car to be the batmobile than a Ti-Gray RX-8 in my opinion. Maybe for next year you can put bat decals on your headlights so you have the bat searchlight look!

Nevermind, looked it up. That costume makes you look 12, no offense. But, the front batman sign looks straight and looks like it was meant to go there. Did that tape not do anything to the paint on the back?
