Now there is an emoticon button so you can select some common emotes when replying to a thread

And I fixed a bug that RIWWP reported regarding blank threads showing up when you have 'last' selected as your default page.

 

Any interest in different languages? This would only affect the menu and button text, but if anyone thinks that it would be beneficial, and can provide a translation, I will surely incorporate it .

Let me know and I will PM the text resource file and you can shoot me back a translated version.

 

Still waiting for a way to connect using the "login through facebook"

hoping that gets put in.

 

Hey bud, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to do that. The forum uses a specific application id for their facebook app, and without that id I wont be able to integrate the feature.

Lots of new updates since my last post. Now you can set the thread view to reflect a similar view to what we have here on the forum. (In the preferences under Linear View)

 

Any feedback on the new thread view (for those that enabled it in the preferences)

 

I just pulled it up to take a look, and i prefer the linear view. Posts are less crammed on the screen, easier to read.

I can see that other people might prefer it however. Might have something to do with how wordy I get

Yea I hear ya, also would depend on exactly how much real estate you have on your phone, and what font size you use too lol.

You know, you would have thought I would have included that, but clearly such a simple thing passed my mind. I will incorporate that asap. Easy enough

 

I hadn't noticed font size adjustment option.

I just shrunk it to the smallest, and the non-linear view becomes more viable, but i still prefer linear.

I just realized this thread was in the photo gallery thread. Don't you think it would get more play in the general RX-8 subforum?

 

on another forum I'm on I can change the sig left behind while using the app. I think it defaults to "using rx8club.com app" currently.
Is that a future upgrade with this app?

 

To be honest I wasn't sure when I first created this thread. I figured it was multimedia. I figured it was going to get moved there eventually but looks like it stayed.

I like the refresh and the subforum line in the new posts list.

I keep getting app crashes though, and from what i can tell it's only on thread pages that have attachments. I keep using the report feature, so you should have some info on what is going wrong. When it crashes though, it's repeatable, every time. The last page of the Aggro fitment and the last page of the Dumb Questions thread are both currently causing it.


I can move this thread whereever you want that makes sense. Just tell me where it should be.

Hrmm interesting, I will take a look at the error logs to see if I can reproduce. Does this happen just when you open the page?

 

Yeah. With last page on -> New Posts -> thread -> crash as the page opens. For any thread that it does this, I can toggle to first page, open the first page without problem, then click to the last page and it crashes the same way. If the thread gets enough posts to go to a new page, then the crashing stops unless I try to go back to the previous page that did it. So I'm fairly certain it's a problem with something that exists on that page, and every thread I've had a problem with has been one with pic attachments. I don't think it's the attachment display itself, as it appears to do it if you just [img] link a previously attached image.

It doesn't do it with all images either though, so i'm thinking something like pic size might be causing it. No real idea though, just guessing.

 

mine crashes on the first page. the next time it happens I'll send a report if that helps

Ok, update coming, hopefully fixes the issue you guys are having, also allows custom mobile sigs (i.e. instead of the default one below)
