Man that sucks. Sorry to hear about your rims/tires. Maybe your insurance will cover it all and you can get a really cool set of rims (if you don't replace with OEMs).

You should drive around your area (assuming that you have another car or a friend) and look for a riced out car like a civic with RX8 rims. Since you prolly still have the wheel lock key, you could just steal them back at night and then you can stick around to take pictures and laugh when they get up the next morning to a wheel-less car.

That is just horrid! You assume that stuff just happens in the movies. Like CyprusRX8 said ... I would rape them if I ever found out who did that (and break some knee caps as well).

That pic makes me want to get two different sets of wheel locks!

Blue...you would rape someone if they took your chewing gum.

Don't look at this as a loss but rather an opportunity for some nice after market rims.

Ya, that's true that it could have been worse. I would really not want to see the car with all that stuff ripped off.

And, since they didn't take the clears... that proves that they don't have an RX8 if there was any doubt.

Dang! Thats some cold chit, those @sses just left your car sitting on the ground. Talk about adding insult to injury. Hope you can pick some after market at a decent price.

You can see what looks to be a jack under the car, below the front door.

"Ok in response to all you damn people..."
And we're all suppose to know that Euro's come with clears... Chill-out DT

It was probably a Mazda 3 or 6 owner that wanted the 18" wheels...

Your insurance will cover everything right? I'd say go with three wheels locks per wheel, all different brands of locks. The problem whith that is, the of changing tires and if someone wants to steal those, they'll get fustrated and just start vandalizing your car (busting windows, slashing tires, kicking out headlights, etc.). This happened to a friend of mine because they couldn't get his wheels off.

Electric, I feel your pain! I had a similar experience about 30 years ago wth my then recently acquired and much loved Mach I (see my avitar and other posts). We lived in an apartment complex in Cleveland and the cars were parked in open faced garages. I came out one morning to find just what you did, except mine was at least up on cement blocks. I just stood there with my mouth open for about five minutes. I couldn't believe it. I felt like my whole life had been violated. As stupid as it sounds, I had dreams (nightmares) about that incident for 2 or 3 years. Isn't it stupid how we can become so emotionally attached to an inanimate object, like our cars? Actually, I haven't even thought that I might feel that way again until I got the '8 a year ago. If something like that happened now, I'd bet I'd go through the same again!

Hope your insurance got you back on the road without a hitch.

Zoom, Zoom!
