regardless, the specs, material, and design are all different. The closest ones to the seibon fender are the ASM and c-west ones. The ASM is +25mm and has an air duct that's larger and flows with another line on the s2000 body. The Cwest one is +10mm and has no duct at all. Trust me, I know my s2k ****.

Why does it matter to you if someone wants Rota's? Does it just bother you or something?

Here's a deal, if someone wants Rota's on their car, how about YOU pay the difference for them getting the name brand rims since it bothers you so much. The front the cash for the Rotas, you pay the difference so they can get Advans.

You can rock rotas if you want, it's your car and your cheap wheels. I only responded because someone asked, "what is the difference?" between knockoff and authentic wheels. I care about the aftermarket scene and support quality/R&D and authenticity. If you owned a business and some company comes out and starts counterfeiting your products, you would be more than pissed. Many great companies have gone out of business/wheels been discontinued because people see knockoffs as a much more reasonable alternative.

I don't have Rotas, but I'm not one to judge another persons car anyways.

Just because someone wants to mod but might not have all the cash doesn't mean they shouldn't. "knockoff" or "Fakes" as you call them were all created from necessity.

I think you need to put the Hateraid down and just let people do what they want with their cars.

 

I really doubt that companies like rota hurt companies like VOLK. In the end of the day people who would buy Volk will still buy Volk. I've wanted Advan RS for a while, and have been saving up for it. Just because rota or another company replicates it doesn't mean I'm gonna buy it.

In the end people who can afford to buy name brand, will buy it. and those who can't won't. I don't think companies actually loose customers over it.

not exactly a necessity, more of a demand for lower price alternatives. Many wheels have been discontinued because nobody bought them. Look at how many Desmond Regamaster Evos there are and then how many Rota Slipstreams you see. Are they equal alternatives? No. They are copies and a cheap way to get a certain look. But for every dollar you save by purchasing a knockoff design, it's a dollar out of the pockets of authentic wheel makers. BTW, I used to own a set of rotas so I can talk all the **** I want. I ran over a rock and a wheel bent. Never owning a set again, they are everywhere. My friends have owned knockoff wheels too; the quality is atrocious. I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion on this either. Just giving my opinion, which just so happens to be different from yours.

If the Rota G-Force didn't exist, then people would save more and buy the Advan RS. Therefore, yes customers are lost.

i've driven a couple turbo 8's before and it was nice, but for horsepower to dollar ratio its not worth it to me..i'll stay all natural in the 8. and living in cali with a turbo 8 would be fun but the cops wouldnt like it..im at a point in my life where there's too much at risk going with a turbo..hell, i even turned down a turbo kit recntly..

 

No you just need a friend that lives in Nevada or Arizona and use their address to register your car. No more CARB restrictions.

 

I want my 8 to look like that. I LOVE the bodykit. The only thing I would change is the spoiler, but that's a personal preference and I think you've done an awesome job.
