Making great progress tonight. I do not think I should have anymore hold ups. Should be running this weekend. Picks to come later tonight.

Nice build. I like the pic of the driveway full of VR 8's. Hey Scott, no boost after the deployment, adding an A5 to the garage.
Sweet, I love Audi's. That's probably a smart idea either way :)

So is this thing done yet? lol
|
We are just about there. We took a day off to enjoy some time with our ladies so we only got a little bit done today. But we are just about there, just need to button up the UIM, get the midpipe bolted up and get the oil drain situated and then we should be able to fire her up for the first time this week.

Starting to think `SARX`means `Slow Assed Rotary Experiment`...come on guys speed it up ;)

Pic update posted. So with the piping in place and how tight the tolerances are I could not fit the OMP heat shield. I'm not real concerned as I still have my turbo heat shield and manifold coating.
|
wait i thought the lava tape keeps heat in and doesn't protect from exterior elements where ass the cooltape protects heatsoak.

In my experience this translates to : "Ladies were getting pissed off that we were spending so much time with the cars, had to take them out to dinner if we wanted any future sexual favors"

JEGS Lava Mat™ Rugged Radiant Heat Shield outperforms most other adhesive type material by as much as 60%. Made from crushed volcanic rock with a woven pattern look. Held in place on a clean, oil free surface with high temp adhesive to withstand radiant heat of up to 1200°F direct/continuous and 1800° intermittent. Can also be held in place with screws, rivets or stainless wire ties for an extra measure of security when exposed to elements such as dirt, oil and water. Measures just .007" thick and is easily cut to size with a pair of scissors. Use on your hood, body panel, firewall, floor board, fuel cell or gas tank. Made in USA. 1/pkg. |

Did you get it bled? It's a bit different than bleeding brakes.
|
No we didn't. We were following the instructions in the FSM. We have both done it before as well. It was pissing me off, we are so close to firing her up and this BS is stalling us.
|
What a bitch, is this the same procedure in the FSM.

No problem, clutches can be bitchy sometimes. Good luck, and good work so far!
