R3 Wheels with 245/40R19's all round finished in hyper-chrome to match original 40th Anniversary wheels. No rubbing on wheel well liners over bumps or at full lock but judging by the clearance I think this is the largest tyre size you can get away with on a series 1.
Quick calculations suggest 2.8% increase in tyre outer diameter so speedo is only slightly affected (actually brings it closer to the real speed when compared with sav nav).
Very nice! I just ordered a new set from my local Mazda dealership for my series 1 as well. Am waiting for them to arrive. Gonna wrap them in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S- only because Michelin discontinued the tire size for the Super Sports.
Quick question though... Did you use your existing lug nuts, or did you find ones that match the Charcoal Grey? If so, can you share the information on where/ how to get them? I'm trying to find lug nuts that match.
Detrich, long time no see man!
hope all is well.
excited to hear you still have your 8 after all these years. Those San Bernardino meets seem like a lifetime ago now.
lol hey Jorge! yah, i'm still here and finally "starting" to mod my car, because it's looking a bit long in the tooth. hahaha T.T
do u still have your 8 & the bimmer? i think ceasar is the only one from the SB group that kept his 8- but he moved to texas.
i'm the last of the 626 group that still has my 8. but, i also put a deposit down for a 2023 c8 early last year built to order. it's like an 15-18 month wait, so am hoping to get it by year end- provided the prices don't keep skyrocketing like they are. started off like 80+ but not gone up to like 90 something. i might end up chickening out. hahaha. well, they said as long as the options aren't weirdo and they can still sell the car then it's fully refundable. we'll see...
Just realize i posted my reply in the wrong thread. But, i got the wheels finally and posted photos. thanks to everyone who shared their knowledge. it helped a lot.
