Should I trade in the 8 for a Altima SER?

Are'nt you the guy that wanted to drop a 6speed in his auto 8? Why would you make the same mistake twicw and but another auto?

Hrm... What kind of tires does the Altima come with? By the way, did you notice anyone else typing responses in this thread recently? Seems like it's just you and I in this thread.

Must you bring up the past? I would simply add the turbo just for show. To know I can smoke any person that pulls up next to me in a 350z or some **** like that. Meaning I dont have to race them. Because I know I would win.

I'm starting to think I've been had and this was just a trolling post. Why would someone who owned an RX-8 want an Altima? :P

They're pretty funny, I get a good chuckle out of a lot of RSX owners on that site. Lets see... Vtec is the greatest thing to ever be added to a car, 3rd gear in an RSX allow you to pull on just about anything besides a top fuel dragster, if the other car has AWD or a Turbo it's cheating, and their interiors are a work of art. It's not nearly as bad as it was a couple years ago, but still a lot of diehard fanbois on that site. Fanbois of any car just bug the hell out of me, but it seems there are a few cars out there that really seems to attract the fanboi mentality.

The looks are awesome. Also now with the 3.5 L 260hp engine.
This is the first one here in my City. So unlike the 4 rx8's I would have the first.
I am pretty sure since this Altima is the SER version it can be seriously tuned. Especially since it is the 3.5 L engine. Maybe hit it up with a Skyline Turbo setup. But I dont know if it could fit.
So basically all I am asking for is your opinion on the trade in.
I love the 8 and the Altima SER is insane looking.
Its a tough decision. I was probably gonna end up trading the rx8 in anyways. So maybe I should just get a new vehicle.
Anyways I look forward to your opinions and complaints on my decision.

The funny part is the 'now' with 3.5l. Nissan uses the same motor and platform in 8 different cars I can think of.
I think you should get one. No really, go today.
Let us overlook the parts of a car that define a sports car and just buy into the cheap hp war because power is everything.

I agree with Ike. As I mentioned in another thread, I thought the Altima was outdated, which may not have been the right term. But I meant the model/body style has been out for a while. This new Se-R version is a few last stabs by Nissan at reviving this model which will be soon due for a makeover.

In spite of the rediculousness of the thread starter--I will try and comment on the Altima; the SER is nice--however it is redundant, you can get a G35 with more performance and RWD, also the Altima will still torque steer like an Altima, depreciate like any Altima, and not get a lot of looks like any Altima. The buyer base for this car will be narrow--and the Altima SE-R will not beat a 350Z, 0-60 time on this car will probably be about 5.7=5.8 with the 6speed. The Auto SE-R will still be a second behind--its a high 6 low 7 second car with Auto tranny. You are disillusioned kid, you must don't know how to drive a stick for you to complain about an auto RX8 then try and get into an Auto Altima. Get real

Keep the RX-8 you don't want a front wheel drive car. That much torque in a FF will give you torque steer, and it will get worse when you add more power.
BTW the turbo and supercharger kit for the Z and G35 are made for rear wheel drive engine layout so it will not fit in the Altima SER.
