Well, now that I'm fairly settled with wheels, I just wanted to make a post documenting my changes over the past year for people to see. I've enjoyed nearly every set for each of their strong suites, be it performance or looks. Some people will like, dislike, love, or hate them for various reasons but hey, fair game - that's a huge part of modifications, right? The car has gone in and out of daily driven status with these setups. As for future plans, I'll be going with wider rubber, raising it a bit, and doing some more performance driving. For now, love 'em or hate 'em, it's been fun going through the various stages; enjoy!
18x9.5 +45 w/ 275/35/18
Silver Enkei RPF1
The typical rx8 performance setup. No fender work needed to fit fatty 275's. Was a great setup but I wanted some change...

Takata Green Work CR-Kais
Got these from an evo X owner. The evo runs taller tires so the 255/40 were one profile too tall. This really hindered my enjoyment. I want to say this is one of the earlier lower offset wheels posted on the forums but that would be a very tall claim to make. Either way, I finally got the chance to rock a set of wheels in one of my favorite colors!

18x10.5 +22 w/ 235/40/18+245/40/18 and later on 265/35/18
British Black Prodrive GC-010G
Definitely a great mix of function meets form. When I first got these, they had some pretty stretched tires on them. At the time this was alright because it gave me a chance to gauge the fitment on them. I later went with 265's which proved to be a great move. No rubbing issues of course.

Special Brilliant Coating Enkei RPF1
I had always wanted to run some low offset rpf1 and when the opportunity came, I jumped on it. The squared tires required some camber but it wasn't anything unlivable, really. Definitely a tight fit that took some finessing to get everything to sit properly.

19x9.5 +28 Front 19x10.5 +23 rear w/245/35/19 + 285/35/19 (rears didn't really fit, tires were a bit too tall and wide...)
Gold Volk SF Challenge
I got the horrible idea to trade the RPF1's for these. In the end it ended up working out but at the time I couldn't help but feel a little silly for the move. I was confident they could fit well with the right tire sizes but I never ended up going through with it.

Work Metal Buff S1 Meister
One of my favorite setups I've done thus far. The double stagger was a risk but I went for it and was satisfied with the results. Spacers could have helped with the fitment a bit but hey, I wasn't too picky.

Orange Volk TE-37
My current setup which is here to stay for a long while. Right now the tires aren't the widest but it was a must to see how this spec wheel would fit.

Holy **** tilt; I knew those TE's got snatched up but I didnt know it was from you!! Those are the sickest wheels I have ever seen on an 8. The concavity is just overwhelming
Im glad you'll be keeping this setup for awhile!

When's the next weekend socal meet?
On a side note, as I look over the pics that orange really throws off post-prod editing. My color adjustments are wretched! It's pretty clear I rushed through that set, haha.
