Its true. At night thats when the race gets interesting and it cool to see all the cars backfireing. ive seen a few.

 

Just in time for my new 42" Hi Def TV. Wow! What a difference in reception. Hopefully Speedsource, Inc. will not make the same mistake as last year that blew them out of contention for a win. I just want to see one of the Rx-8's take it as Speedsource did two years ago. I think I heard there are 7 Rx-8' in this race.

 

Oh man now I wish I had the speed channel. 7! Wow more chances for any of the 8's to get the spot! +1 on speedsource.

 

I'll be rooting for the 8's and for Juan Pablo Montoya on the prototypes

I record the shows even when I'm at the race track to watch later. When your there, you can only see part of the race. On the DVR (or VCR in the old days) you can see what you didn't see and in slo-mo.
At night you not only see the backfires, but the glow of the brake rotors. You can wake up at 3am to silence and try to figure out why the the race has been red flagged.
I've been to more than a dozen 24 hr races (3 in one year), all most all of them as a corner worker. I got struck by lightning at a Nelson Ledges race. After that I had a desire for rotary engines.
