Spun voodoo Shift knob

I had one of those in my old Miata. Very nice **** indeed. The Miata guys go nuts for the Voodoo *****. If my rotory shaped **** wasn't so darn pretty, I would get one of these too.

Is that thing screwed down all the way? Thats a big gap with the boot.
I have one of these, not the magnum size just regular, and I actually switched back to the stock **** yesterday. I don't know if it was the lighter weight or what, but I've found the stock one really shifts smoother b/c its heavier. Also, the voodoo **** transmits ALOT more tranny noise, especially with the AFE shifter. Even after RP fluid it allowed tons of noise and whine. It does kind of suck in really cold weather too.
I hope you like yours though

Yeah, I think the ergonomics are better with the voodoo, but for me I think it is too light and too loud. I guess it changes the leverage point too b/c it is shorter than stock and that changes the shift feel and shift action. Well crafted piece though.

It looks like your boot is just saggy. Do you have the green foam stuff on the inside of the boot still? I assume you have it there... try removing the **** and pulling the boot up.
I don't have the foam, and it still doesn't sag this much.

ps are you sure you got the right threads? mine goes ALL the way down... actually when pushing down to put it in reverse the navi buttons tend to get in the way sometimes because its that low.. but no biggie for me i dont mind.

i have the spun aluminum ****, for now, and it screws all the way down. I have not noticed the extra noise from it, but it has been a long time since I had the stock ****. I have grown a little tired of the temperature swings on this ***** surface though. it gets hot in the summer, and really cold in the winter. no matter what I do to cover it, shade it, nothing works. I have ordered the MS ****, should be here this week.
