Only comment I have on your picts is that you should have taken more of the originals. I say this because your sky is badly blown out and the whole point of HDR is to not have this happen. If I had to guess these picts were taken as -1/+1 instead of -2/+2 because of the lack of dynamic range in the sky.

Also, someone had asked if it was possible to do HDR with PS CS1...it is not. It was a feature added in CS2.
