just for reference,

its peripheral port rotary.

not perpetual. lol.

Rotr8 12-23-2008 03:03 PM

Perpetual port is diferent, all our renes are peripheral

Zelse 12-23-2008 03:15 PM

that Knight sports there is a peripheral ported 13B with 314 RWHP...nuts, eh?

rotarenvy 12-23-2008 03:47 PM

ah.... afaik, perpetual port does not exist. lol, would that be moving intake/exhaust that spins with the rotor?

peripheral port:

http://www.mazdatrix.com/r-20.htm
http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.c...l-port-14.html

here is a pic of the renesis
http://www.pineappleracing.com/image.../renesis1b.jpg

you can see that the peripheral port 13b is not a renesis. peripheral port refers to the intake/exhaust ports being on the actual side of the rotor housing. (i.e. the periphery.) this is not possible, because the renesis has the intake/exhaust ports in the pieces sandwhiched between the rotor housings as you can see in the pic above.

afaik,... but iim pretty sure im right.

If you google "perpetual port" engine, you only find this thread, something computer related, and one poll from rx7club. That should be pretty conclusive.

Noble Wolf 12-23-2008 04:52 PM

Yes, it's from Knightsports
