That looks awesome - After I bought my lip kit last week, I started thinking of what other add-on's i should look into - I was lookin' around and noticed there wasn't a huge selection for rear diffusers - I took a peek under the rear end (no homo) and noticed that exhaust/muffler (at least the oem one) hangs really low which may cause a slight issue -

I'm really interested in seeing some more concepts

yeah it is really low and that iw where I think I will have an issue if I used the Exige diffuser.
The only Im looking to make would pretty much start at the up-curve of the exhaust(after the body)

Think it'll be actually functional though? Always been curious about how little is not functional and how much is, you know?

So true so true, If its something I end up making on my own I would most likely test it, for any other reason just out of shere curiosity, but would most be an aesthetic element as long as it wouldnt be a detrement to the daily use of the car. If its something that I decide to sell or bring to the community I wouldnt dare sell it without testing it. I have a connection that works at a university's wind tunnel that I would be able to use.
You'd actually be suprised how much test and intent go into some of the higher end Japanese tuner's kits... Every now and then they will all ban together and group test the products, but a majority of the time its a matter of 'trial and errorneering' on the track...

Right, makes sense. Was just curious is all because you see it on some new sports cars now adays and in Japan some of the mainstream cars like the Evo and all have it (like Evo 9 JDM rear bumper has it built in..so on and so forth) so yeah, was just curious if more for looks or function or both. Personally I think it'll look the bomb, especially for those (like me) who want to rid the bottom plastic and replace it with something like this to cover the heatshield and all and have better functionality. I don't dig the MS rear because the sides hang low and all that, I just want the center diffuser, you know?

^+1 on center diffuser. I think if someone could really expand on what the MS has and show some variation - i'd be interested.

Yeah. Just because like I said, I hate the part how it hangs and all. I just wanna remove the bottom plastic and have a nice diffuser in place of the middle. Have it tuck up and nicely like an Evo9 sort of. That would be a good time.

^+1. The stock *** of the 8 really annoys me sometimes; this is something I would definitely be willing to buy.

I'm not feeling the cartoon stickers on a car, is it just me or it looks kind of gay. I just dont see myself driving a car with a pikachu sticker on the side. has anyone done that in the states???

yah i agree also. every time i see those cars with anime , i always think that some 40Year old virgin owns the car. also it reminds me of this kid (satoshi) back in the 10th grade, who would bring his Dragon Ball z cards to school. even though anime really accepted in japan, i still cant see my self driving a car with Son Goku on the hood. or my fav Spike from cowboy bepop. but i can see having like a small sticker above the exhaust on with spike giving a 2 thumbs up

ive seen other news reports and most people think the name "itasha" fits the cars.dont really like the style. it really is a "nerd" thing. i think the graphics its self are pretty good, but like most normal people i also think it looks dorky on a car.

it started a few years ago (2006/2007). forza2 for xbox 360 really gave it a push though cause it had a graphcis edit function that could actually be used to make pictures (mostly all games wont allow free hand customization for fear every thing would have weenies or bad words written all over them.forza made it difficult but possible by giving shapes but with the ability to edit them with time/dedication). people spend days/weeks making anime charecters out of geometric shapes only.this was even my first exposure to itasha seeing them online in races. now they even have magzines for the scene.
