if you choose to go into Business or even Computer Programming, correct grammar is important no matter what you think. No offense to Computer Programmers...or Business majors either.
I run a massive network marketing business here and i left school in a early level and dont have a high degree of english. So if its a must and your so correct, do you own a business or programme computers? if not how can you give advice on something you have yet to experience.

um...just to provide some input here...before my current job of Senior Telecommunciations Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst, I was a Network Administrator for one of the colleges at Auburn University. I can't even begin to stress the importance of CORRECTNESS in grammar and logical sentence and document structure..it's sad but you are judged by how you come across in your written 'etiquette'. I write hundreds of SLA's, RFP's, How To's, SOP's, HLD's, and FSP's. These are put in front of some of the worlds largest companies of Fortune 100-500 stature and even small business's around the globe that take advantage of our service, Teleconferencing. One small mistake or the slightest misrepresentation of something can seriously impact an agreement or even loose the customer altogether, I have even seen it result in lawsuits. If you run or are apart of any global business it is imperative you use correct grammar and sentence structure because these things are taken mighty seriously in international busniess transactions, our Japanese customers are the hardest to please, the slightest slip can cause them to back out of a deal. So to answer your question although not posed to me, yes I have owed my own business and still own a small one on the side and I do program computers. Every program I write or ever wrote be it PERL, C#, C++, Fortran, ADA, HTML, Java, XML, the list goes on..even simple Kixstart scripts or Unix scripting I document and not just for the sake of it's aesthetics but i'm not going to be here forever and someone else will use my programs and code in the future and it's best to be as clear and concise as possible so they can follow YOUR logic..everyone's logic is different..even mine varies from one day to the next..i have written several PERL CGI scripts and re-written them using different logic behind them...even though they still perform the same function/s...

now as far as this forum i understand where some people are coming from ...i was the same way..it irked me to no end when I kept getting flak for grammar in some early heated debates with a few members, so I can see everyone's frustration...but I will agree with D MenaC 7...you will have less of a chance to be taken seriously with loose grammar and use of wording/structure...

It's kind of like having a buger (sp) hanging out of your nose while talking with someone. Just hard to take someone serious.

Now this bugs me cause I am not sure if this is the correct spelling for buger. Not in the webster either.
