Guess what, this being the great free country that it is people can say what ever they want about it. You have to had expected you were going to take some **** putting that on there. I am PERSONLLY saying I think its a stupid *** tattoo. Hey if you like it cool, your the one who has to live with it. I just think that by you trying to defend your self so much that your starting to doubt that you should have gotten it. Just by defending so much you are showing that you DO in fact care what others think, otherwise you would just sit home and laugh at all the BS going on here. God Bless America and FREE SPEECH! BIATCHES!
I agree. I doubt i will ever get tired of vagina. There really is no replacement. I have a hunch that there will eventually be a better rotary out there and I would eventually grow tired of seeing RX8 written on my arm. Kinda like getting a tattoo of a gf's name, and then breaking up and being stuck with her name... wether you like it or not.

Honestly, I really hope you enjoy it, but I'll bet you a Pepsi that in about 10 years, you are going to regret it.

body art is a subjective thing... i have friends who have lots of tats & love them. but, for me personally, it's not my thing. however, out of respect, i think that the guys here that didn't like your new creation could've expressed their distaste in a nicer & politer manner.

that said, the problem is that people who are not into body art see it as a vile & disgusting desecration & mutilation of the human body. i know that that doesn't sound nice, but that's just how it is perceived. <shrugs> it's not because we aren't understanding, it's simply because that's how we see it. kinda like how straight people see gay people, for the lack of a better analogy. and, that's why it [body art] can sometimes evoke such an emotional reaction.

just imagine taking the most beautiful piece of classic art (painting or sculpture), or a shiny brand-new sports car, or a beautiful wild animal (such as a cute panda bear or lion cub), or even better a super-hot "10" supermodel or playboy playmate... and then permanently burning or branding some strange-looking design on its face to destroy it's natural beauty... and that's how it looks to us, i'm afraid.

but still, i think the guys who didn't like it should just try to be more understanding and keep their negative comments to themselves.

To each his or her own. I always was intrigued by the possibility of getting a tattoo but I always said I could never go into a parlor and just pick something off a wall. For me personally that is more of a fad. Tattoos permanently put on your body should hold special meaning to you and apparantly this tattoo holds that meaning for him. I see his point much moreso then people who get tattoos on a whim looking at and deciding at the same moment by looking at pictures in a display. I finally got a tattoo on my arm, retired with the Air Force symbol below it with U.S.A.F. below the symbol. It will always mean something to me having just retired from 20 years of service in the best Air Force in the world. Kudos man, don't let people bring you down...

I don't think tats are vile. I have one myself on my calf. Took me five years to design it and get it perfect. I'm not going to post it on here cuz i don't give an F what anyone else thinks of it. That being said, just posting on here shows that he cares what others think about it, and I personlly don't like THAT tatoo because visually it is unpleasing to me.

Bah!, you should've just let a bunch of kindergarteners finger paint on you, would've looked about the same, and probably would have saved you some money.... not saying it was a bad decision or anything, but that is one of the worst Tatoo's I've ever seen... I love art and admire your dedication but I would have found a better artist..maybe once it heals up and the color settles it will look better... (Hopefully anyways) is that your first!? because they're addictive!

you've got yourself a bet lol - i'm proud of it, even if others do think it's ugly... i don't care lol - i think it's tight, it's got lots of meaning to me (more than just a car), and thats all i care about. i didn't post it because i cared what everyone else thinks... i posted it because i figured as rx-8/rotory fans, you could develope your own appreciation for it. i know not everyone will, but the people that do like it, i'm sure don't mind seeing it on here

Congrats on the tattoo.

I agree that it's not the greatest quality but it obviously means a LOT to you, it was something that you got to experience with a friend (as he inked it), and you seem to be happy with it. that's awesome!

Thanks for sharing. That's all this thread was ever intended to be anwyays; sharing.

Good grief! Lay off son. He doesn't care what you think about it. He has been nothing but nice to everyone that has criticized it so far. You do not need to take it this far. What a crappy first post. If he likes it, then fine. And, he seems to be loving it so what difference does it make to you? I learned this lesson the hard way... But, hey, thanks for contributing to the club you jackass.

I'm sorry, but when I see the way this guy has responded to people about this tat, I have no sympathy for him. It is people like his "buddy" who give the art of tattooing a bad rep. Now some of you will say you gotta start somewhere, well, that is correct. You start by going to some art school then doing an aprenticeship.

My real concern is, someone who is willing to mark up someone elses body with artwork like that probably doesn't sterilize either his workplace or his equipment, risking possible disease transfer from one of his "experiments" to another.

Please, convince your buddy to stop. What he is doing is not only wrong, its dangerous.

P.S. That symbolizes nothing about an RX8, it symbolizes a time you and your buddy were bored sitting in his basement.

If you're having difficulty understanding how deep the meaning of a tattoo can go, then you're just straight up closed minded and ignorant, in my opinion. this is my first and only tattoo, and i gave it lots of thought before i got it done... i didn't just decide to jump in the seat one day and have someone permantly scratch something on my arm that means nothing, like i know a lot of people do. and i would have to agree with dova - you guys do act a lot more imature than i thought you were. i could almost swear most of you are under 18 wishing you had the damn car lol - i was actually thinking, since you all drive rotory's, you'd be used to something different, and unique from what everyone else has. but apparently, most of you are really the same - stuck in your shell of what you think is right and wrong, and thinking that your way is the only way - no one elses opinions matters, and everyone elses choice to do something thats different from your own is the wrong move - well, i'm gonna have to say screw all you haters, open your minds a little bit, and if your so worried about how you'd never do what i did, then get out of this forum, stick to your closed minded ways, and let the rest of us lead our lifes the way we want to. I hope you all can grow up a little bit, and realize that there's more to life then just going to work, and driving your 8.

And once again, to all of you that are understanding, thanx for your honest comments - i really appreciate it
Nobody's hatin on ya man, people just expressing their different opinions. And (relatively) politely too. Looks to me as if you've gotten many compliments, and those people who are not directly complimenting you at least aren't slamming you personally - more the quality of the art.

I say if you like it that's all that matters. Congrats on getting something you like.

And folks, remember, different strokes for different folks. Play nice please.

WHAT?! Where do you come up with this crap Johnny?! Now you're assuming that he doesn't sterilize equipement? Wow, another well thought out post from ya...

You probably mentioned "blob" somewhere in your post, thus going over your 3 post limit.

It's a matter of responsibility. A responsible person would KNOW he is not ready to tattoo someone. Even if the other person WANTED him to tattoo him, he should know he is not ready. This guy obviously wasn't ready, but he still did the work anyway. It makes me wonder what else he is willing to be unresponsible about (ie sterilizing equipment).

You can rip me all you want, the guy put very little thought into the tattoo and I guarantee a professional artist could have made something much more impressive. I'm willing to put money down that this guy will be getting a coverup.

I think that there is more to this than his tattoo. I think johnny boy has a history with them.
