Tein S-Techs on Winning Blue Installed

Just thought I'd post up some pics of my blue after my weekend install of tein s-techs springs. My friend Danny helped me with the install, mucho thanks to him. I think I'm finally done with mods!! Unless you all can think of something else.. ENJOY

That looks way too high for S-techs... did you preload the suspension?

Something doesn't look right, your ride height looks stock if not lifted a bit. I've got S-Techs and the front is much lower than yours. Look how much gap you have in the front in that first pic. I have about 1 fingers width in front. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I would guess that some bolts were tightened with the suspension unloaded.

did you lower the car before tightening some of those bolts down? (looks a bit high, as if you didn't pre-load)

^^ thought the same thing after seeing the pics. I just did s-techs 2 weeks ago and i'm way lower in the front even without the appearance package piece.

if you did it yourself, are you positive you put the rear springs on the rear and the fronts on the front???

Yea, the springs haven't been preloaded yet. I'm waiting on my friend so that I can borrow his torque wrench to do so. I just thought I'd take pics cuz it was a nice day out. It has settled a little. I can tell because the front is completely even with the rear at this moment. Also my tires are lower profile than stock. BTW, the first 2 pics are before pics in case that makes a difference.

oh ok. It really won't settle until the full weight of the front of the car is on the springs though. But i'd say it'll take way less than a week, couple days max.

springs settle in mm's, not inches.

try loosening the upper control arms and leaving them for a while. i know of two rx-8s that didn't do it while on the ground and both look high still.

How much do the Tein springs lower your car?

I want my BB to look almost like yours sans strakes and new springs.

My car vs. yours

Sorry for the poor quality pic, just snapped it with my phone before going to lunch, but you get the point.

Yea, my front needs to hurry the hell up! Getting a little impatient here :P
Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get my hands on a torque wrench to undo the upper control arm. Did you do the install yourself Aipex8?
