A Touch of Class II
Did a few more things these past few weeks since the red calipers and red center wheel caps. Here is what Velocity Red is looking like under the hood.

These are the Carbon FIber Eyelids I got from ebay. I thought about painting them VR Mica but, I really like how they contrast with the red paint and decided to keep them CF. I can still paint them since the paint I bought has flex in it so it would be easy to paint them after masking but, I still like how they look as is.

I'll be adding a few more pics when I get time to do some more photography and the weather permits some nice sunny shots to show the Mica in the paint under the hood. :D

They sent me a new batch and it has the missing part...a can of the middle coat which goes on after the base coat and contains the little sparkly metal flakes that is in the Velocity Red Mica.
This is a 4 coat paint. Primer, base coat, middle coat and clear coat. The paint I bought from the site is in a spray can, it's not cheap. I also got the paint with flex added in because I am going to use the bulk of it to paint an appearance package air dam I bought and am repairing.
This paint is fast drying. You can paint a part to the top coat in about an hour or less, tops. Of course it is not fully cured for 24 hours so I wouldn't paint something that has to be touched a lot or moves or comes into contact with stuff regulary and install it immediately.

D,
Didja' notice if your K&N (typhoon?) setup leaked its' oil onto the internal sensors?
That's the reason I didn't add one,I read (here) that the oil tended to drip internally and foul the sensor(s) that led to the
2nd stage opening.....something like that, you know eactly what I mean.....
Anyhow,if the K&N 'mod is positive,I'd just as soon add it,my 4-Runner has the K&N FIMK cold-air exch. kit and it helped immensely....
Whatcha' think?
