from what i hear and have read, the physics are supposed to be pretty good in SRS, they are also going to have real car modeling damaging, too. There are supposively 70 billion combinations that you can do with you cars, and you'll be able to have like 40 or 50 cars in your garage, meaning you can own pretty much every car in the game. They have been making the game for a long time, 3DO was making it, untill they went bankrupt and went away, that's when namco picked it up and started to finish the game up. This game is gonna be good and worth the wait. It'll be interesting to see which one is better between this game and NeedForSpeed underground 2, all in all, i think they both will be good. Anyways, here's a pic of a modified Rx8 from Underground 2. And if shiggins comes by, there's roof scoop on the car!

3DO was making the game for a long time but that doesn't mean that Namco is reusing the 3DO engine so those years might have been wasted.
I'll wait for the reviews before buying.
I am still waiting for a good modeling of the RX8 dynamics.
My hopes is that GT4 will get it right( unfortunately I have to buy a PS2 just to play this game )

Need for speed underground 2 is not out yet, and won't be out till mid november, i got the screen shot from gamespot.com i think, or ign.com, one of those places, and i would too like to know where he downloaded the srs demo for pc, from what i know, they don't even have a demo out for the pc, and considering they're not making it for the pc, i would like to know where you got the demo.
Basically what happended is, 3DO went bankrupt, and had to close down, the games they were making did not have a chance to get finished, so Namco came by and picked up the rights to SRS, a promising game that could be a sleeper hit. Once they picked up the game, they did not recreate an engine for it, they used the engine that 3DO had created, they just finished up the product that 3DO never had a chance to do.
