Wash+Claybar+Wash+Wax= Woah!

n00b question- where does one buy a claybar? I've always used just regular wash and turtle wax, but your car looks amazing so I have to try this! Oh, and where does one buy this zaino stuff? Is it really that good?

Claybars can be purchased at most automotive stores such as; Pep Boys, AutoZone, Kragen, etc etc. Meguiras has a good one and Mothers is also good.
Not to thread-jack, but if you're looking for Zaino products check out www.zainostore.com (I'll PM you)

I've been putting it off for so long because it's hotter than an oven in Houston, but I plan to put 3 coats of wax on my car. I'm gonna use one of those clay bars for the first time, and hopefully it's noticablyy better..
All those car fixin shows that came on TNN back in the day highly recommended using clay bars..

actually, i think mine are 17.6lbs...u may be right but i think i remember that being the number...i never officially weighed them before they were installed so i dono
ohhhh im scared to use polish because it stains...if i polished id have to be extra careful
haha i actually kinda have to agree with you, ive seen some of your threads and your black looks like a mirror when you're done lol =P VR doesnt reflect colors very well
actually, i only used 1 coat...after the first coat my arms were almost wasted because i dont have a buffer, had to do it all by hand....
maybe next time ill do more than 1 coat??
Edit: i tell you what tho...when you wax the car by hand, and look at if at every angle to get every bit of wax wiped clean, u see all the imperfections.
the car isnt but 4 months old and it already has a TINY dent on the drivers side. if u look in the first picture southwest of the door handle ull see a little divot in the reflection...that is my very first dent

Understand that the claybar does not put any wax on your car. What it does is remove contaminants from the surface in order to give the cleacoat that sliky smooth surface after your final waxing.

so you're saying to wash, wax then claybar? I thought you claybar after washing but before waxing? I've never used a claybar just curious for when I do.

I can't show it in photos, but my friends VR all done with Zaino and my car with PoorBoys Natty's Paste Wax blue is no comparison. If you have not tried PB yet I highly suggest it. The depth, clarity, and amount of flake that pops in direct sunlight is phenomenal!

I get a lot of flake in sunlight. Though I have nothing to compare it with.
I know there are waxes which are better than Zaino in terms of depth and whatnot, like what you said, Wolfgang, Pinnacle, and others...
But when it comes down to overall price, durability and ease of use, Zaino has had me hooked. I've had my car for 2 years and my zaino products have 'just' started to run out, I need to re-stock.
Also if I had more time in the day and better finances I'd be all for trying out new goodies. But with college dominating my life that's a no go....I used to have the time to wash my car once a week but now it's up to 3 weeks, two if I'm lucky.
