1986 Chevrolet Nova (aka "Toylet") - Bought this car in 1997 with my own savings for $1100 and literally drove it to death - it died at a stop sign one day and never started again.
1994 Chevrolet Corsica
1998 Nissan Altima
...And my directly previous car, like so many other people here, was a 1988 RX-7. Bought it from a guy who'd owned it since 1989 (who himself had just upgraded to an 8) for $4000, and it was worth every cent. Everything on the car was in near-perfect condition - engine and tranny had been rebuilt, interior had been re-leathered and re-carpeted, exterior had been re-painted, MOMO wheels, JL Audio stereo... meh, here's a picture:
Why did I get rid of it? Well, as I was leaving work one day a couple weeks ago, I wasn't paying attention and forgot that I'd parked right next to one of the concrete pillars in our parking deck. Swung the wheel as I was backing out, and swung the nose right into it, instantly causing $2500 worth of damage to the fender.
I'd already paid $2000 back in February because of an engine fire due to a leaky fuel pulsation dampener (insurance declared it totalled and paid me $3000 for it, bought it back at salvage for $200; total repairs were over $5000). At that time, I'd decided my love of the car was enough for me to pay any cost to keep it. This time, though, I just couldn't feel the same way for some reason, so I finally let the 7 go.
But I'm not regretting it (...much) - my '07 Phantom Blue 8 won't let me!

cars
too many to list but here it goes.
88 GTU
89 Turbo 2(real S5)
93 r1
93 base

92 integra ls
96 integra GSR
95 integra GSR
90 integra gs
01 GSXR 600
72 240z
95 gsr (current)
Some other cars but to crappy to list.
I would say that my current integra is too fun to let go, hence the reason it is still my daily driver with the 8 in the gargage. Too bad my teg is faster than my 8. The 8 is still a blast to drive.

1990 Plymouth Voyager. That was a great car for high school. Took so many people with me to go out for lunch.
2002 Toyota Rav4. Loved how you can take out the back seats, turn them around and just pop the rear/trunk door open while at the drive in.
1997 Honda Civic. Man I miss that mileage.
