It also makes a very cool effect- almost like the 'RX-8' is a hologram floating inside the brake light assembly.
Pictures, I want pictures. With the brake light lit, of course. :D

And are you living on here these days since your family is in Florida on Spring break? You must be, you are now way ahead of me in posts. grrrr. grrrr8! :D

I tried- they turned out like crap... I need to fiddle with the partial flash feature and exposure settings. Damn complicated digital camera

It's a by-product of juggling 3 projects at work making me be online all day (combined with working from home the last few days). I'm going for some nice, fast drives tomorrow, that's for sure!

Does your digital have a spot meter? If so, then train it on the light it's self then move it to take the picture of what you want. Another is to close up the iris therefore darkening the pic to expose for the light. In short, that's what the spot meter does but it's an automatic function. Also, if you take it during the day, you can use photoshop to tone it down a bit. Just a few suggestions for photographing light such as this. The original pic in my DIY was the result of the spot meter and didn't take much tweaking in photoshop to produce what is close to what it looks like. Red light is hard, it turns orange to yellow, as I am sure you have noticed.
