White rx8 Powdercoated stockies BLACK!!!HUGE PICS INSIDE !!!
Hey i jus got my rims back. it took the shop 8 hours to sandblast and pwdercoat my stock rims "wet black". It cost me 300 total for all 4 rims. it's 200 if you already have them sandblasted where the rims is only metall and no paint. You also have to bring them the bare rim ie(no tires, tpms) Anyways it turned out crazy tight and i wanna share the pics with you guys. Btw the shop is called exclusive their website is "e-powdercoating.com/colorsNEW.php". their in valencia CA right next to six flags. Heres some huge pics Enjoy

VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY NICE CAR!!!!!. rims came out great. Nice smoked tail lights. How did u get the clear corners black? Can you still see out of the tail lights? How about the clear corners(or should i say opaque corners). Anyway, the white/black combo came out great. Now you need to figure out how to smoke the headlights

pushok132, I sure didn't expect this when I said you needed to clean your wheels in your last thread where you were showing your smoked tail lights and corners!! Great job!! Can't wait to see what other plans you have for your 8.

lol when you told me that you gave me a great idea lol. i ended up looking around and next day found a shop to do it in 1 day as i cant keep car on cinder blocks longer. Next is suspension and power. First suspension tho. we'll see. Tail lights can still be seen in the daytime, but at night it's just black and white and ofcourse the red when you break and the white when you Reverse. I have a thread on the tails. Just look up my info

Looks like your shop did a great job on the rims. Personally, it reminds me too much of steel rims used on winter tires, but I guess where you're from it's sunny and you don't see many folk with black steelies.

Hm... they look like steelies to me
The shiny Mazda logo and the bolts are a nice touch though.
I think I'd like such a rim much better if there was a way to make it look like it had a machined lip, and the rest is powdercoated black. Is that possible somehow? Can such a shop make that to happen?

Not on the stockies. They told me if you brought them rims with polished lips, its more expensive becuause it has to be done a certain way not to get the powder to automatically stick to the polish. He said it takes more time. They do all colors and they said they can do some custom colors to match our various colored cars.

IMO looks like steelies now.. maybe it looks better in person, but when you rolling down the street, can you really tell you have proper 18 rims between the black rims and the black tires?... good job though on the blacked out tails
