What offset though? Remember im running 25 offset, which is pretty low for our cars. my last set of rims were a 34 or 35 offset on the rear and i still rubbed every now and than even with rolled fenders. I figured if im going with such an agressive offset might as well do it right the first time round. I dont want to run any camber on the car.

Oh i am not lowered "yet" i will be going for a set of Tein H Techs, the rears pretty low as is with the audio in the car so im looking for a minimal drop. ofcourse the front will be dropped an inch or so to get rid of the wheel well space.

Im shopping around for a set of springs now.

Ive got 20x10 iforged aeros in the rear for 2 years now. Had to remove a small piece of plastic towards the rear of the fender but theres no metal on tire contact from the fender. Cars not lowered in the rear because it doesnt need it with that size wheel.

I already bought the H-Techs from a local store. After checking the prices on the net with shipping to Canada I decided its not worth the hassle. In 2 weeks the car will be lowered.

However, i do have 100+ LBS in the trunk of audio equipment the backs are actually right over the tire. I can fit 2 fingers between the top of the wheel and the fender. So i dont want to go to much lower on the rear.

So basically with the .8" of reduction to the hub and wheel........

Surprise...you ended up with about +40 offset....

Plus a lot of cost for the machine shop...plus weakening the hub..and possibly the rims..

Sounds like quite the deal to me

I wanted an agressive setup, i took the necessary steps to get it done properly. I could have ran tons of camber on the car and called it a day, but i did not. Ofcourse safety was number 1 for me, i wouldnt risk ruining a perfectly good set of wheels if they were not structualy sound this to me is common sense. I dont know about you, but i sure dont have a few grand to throw around here and there

So they don't come with the proper offset?

I guess then it would be worth it if thats what you want...

I hope you didn't take too much off the rotor face...

Ofcourse they come with a proper offset, but they didnt have a 5 inch lip.

Thanks for your feedback!

Bit sarcastic?

Just don't try and BS people that +25 offset would fit without all the machining you did.

FYI..I have 18X10.5 rims...and they fit without all the machining....so it is really ALL about the offset

I don't have an issue with it...other than someone else may read the thread...and buy rims with that offset...and then wonder why they rub by over 1/2 inch in the rear.

Mazdatrix was running 18x10s front and rear something like three years ago, with 265/35-18 tires on it.
