Winning Blue Supercharged RX-8

Getting in and out of lolachampcar's Lola Champ Car without breaking anything was an accomplishment:
marsredr100's rotary powered vehicle (#2) and my own, side-by-side:
marsredr100's Mars Red R100 (rotary powered vehicle #1)... if you think it looks beautiful, it sounds even better:
It has been a busy past couple of weeks, I must have have driven about 600 miles, but I had a smile on my face for most of them. Probably going to put another 2k miles on the car in the coming weeks as the wife and I are going on a road trip.

I take this back. They called asking how the service went, and when I brought up the scratches, they offered to repair the damage. From past experience, most places would just laugh in your face, these guys will own up to their mistakes... which leads me to believe they don't make mistakes often.
I'm heading back there a week from Thursday. We'll see how it goes.

I went back there a couple of years later with the same rims and tires, had them remove the tires and replace them with 4 new tires (same kind)
I checked them out inside of the shop as I was waiting for them to be finished and everything looked to be great again. I put them in the car and headed for home (a little over an hour from there)
I pull into my driveway and before I even get the back door of the car open I can see scratches/gouges in the lip of one of the rims through the window... Sure enough all 4 of them were scratched the whole way around the lip. This was the beginning of the 4th summer with these rims and they were completely mint... I WAS PISSED, I couldn't see it in the shop, but out in the sunlight it was completely obvious... At this point I said I would NEVER use them or recommend them again (something I had done many times before as they had given me excellent service previously)
I called them up and told them about the problem. They offered to make it right and have them sent away for me to have the lip re-finished and shipped back to me.
I took them up on their offer and they came back looking just as good as they were before the incident.
Long story short. They made a mistake, fixed it for me free promptly and re-gained my business as I recently purchased another set of tires from them over the winter for the RX8

So marsredr100 and I participated in an autocross event in Tavares, FL today and we got several nice pictures and a couple videos out of it. We did pretty well, and I think we both learned a lot. When the competition was over I learned that I was .013 seconds away from winning my first trophy! So bloody close! I still have a lot to learn. Anyway, here are the pictures and videos:
BAH, we thought we were going to see a turboed RX-8, but it was MIA. We even saved a parking space for it. We were very disappointed... especially since seeing that car in action was half my motivation for going in the first place. The other half was to hang with some friends, and REALLY drive my fun-fast-reliable-supercharged RX-8
Mini and a nice (and FAST) third-gen
marsredr100 and his ride
The event took place on a police driver training pad, and there were two of these parked there.
TG RX-8 driven by a fellow member of the Collective Unconcious
sweet turboed 2nd Gen. I would have gotten to drive this car, but he had some problems (go figure)
Last but not least, the vids:

It wasn't too bad actually. It's the Police training pad for Lake County. The course itself was pretty fun, it had 3 big turns, a roundabout, and 4 straights (I got up to 64 mph, which is pretty fast as far as autocrosses go).
Thanks man. Definitely give it a shot. Not only will you realize what your car was made for, but it will also make you a better driver.

Just when you start to hate Florida's weather, it brings a smile to your face.

Are they making you guys come to work? We were shut down yesterday and today, but I'm sure we'll have to work a few Fridays in the future to make it up. There are some places near where I live that were flooded pretty bad. Dairy Road north of 192 was not drivable, and supposedly some parking lots at FIT were flooded. I don't think our neighborhood will have any problems, although the canal in my backyard is getting pretty full.

LoL it was a terrible picture and the helmet looks awful. The full face helmets look better but the field of vision on mine is like with no helmet, also it cost me nothing. So.. deland??? Im probably just going to street-tire it. the surface is a bit rough, its the farthest site to drive to, and i havent slept right in 2 weeks. Dont think they'd do well on the 50 mile drive up there if i put them on at home, though i did enjoy driving on babcock with them last saturday.
