Heres pics of the project my dad and I are working on. It'll be fun once it's finished --

ohh i love project cars. keep us updated!
edit: btw i love your idea about modern seats in an old car. I hate driving in a classic and have to sit on 60 year old tech.

Yeah haha, you can see the springs to the old seats hanging on the wall. My dad plans on putting in/programming a touchscreen inside the car that will control everything - starting the car, windshield wipers etc. He planned on using the original engine though, but after some inspection of it it has a crack, so he decided to put a 350 in it.

please tell me you'll use something better than old minivan seats in the end though. you could pick up some nice used black leather rx8 seats on the forums for a few hundred.

Don't worry haha, those seats are just in place for rebuilding purposes right now. Eventually they'll be modified and reupholstered .

Yep, that's why it's gonna take a while. Plus getting all the rust off it. It was a pain in the *** just trying to get all the rotted wood out from inside all of the frames in the car

So it's been a while, but it keeps progressing anyways. Just have a little more bodywork to do until tear down starts and it gets sent off for painting.
