Zaino is my new best friend.
I finally got a chance to do the whole process (dawn wash, clay bar, etc). All I can say is wow. This is definately the best my car has ever looked, and it has been professionally detailed before. It took me about 6 hours from beginning to end, but the results were worth it. I was honestly a little scared after I was done with the clay. My paint was so scratched up, but a couple of coats if Z5 and Z2 covered it right up. I've never used anything as good as Zaino. Thanks Jedi for the thread you helped solidify my choice. Comments welcome, sorry for the big pics if you have a slow connection.

Thanks for the compliments.
The red stripe is actually automotive pinstriping. Real inexpensive $4, and really easy. Thank Deedubb for that brilliant idea.

How did you put the red outline on the rims?

Here is the zaino web site:
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ory_Code=Zaino
I bought the ultimate package. I also purchased 20 microfiber towels, two wash mits (one for wheels and one for body), dawn, and a spray bottle. So in total I did spent quite a bit, about $150. I have a ton of supplies left though and would estimate I have enough for 10 complete details. Not to bad all in all. I used to be a fan of the mothers system, but Zaino is much better for intial shine. I have not had it long enough to make any long term judgements. Oh yeah I do have the orange peel, but it is not noticable unless you are right up on it.

That looks great man!! That black car on the white road looks like a toy sitting there! I love black cars( used to have an 87GN and still have a Syclone), and your wheel treatment , clear corners, black wheels w/redline treatment, centers, and black lugs creates a great package visually. Where did you get your wheels done? Powdercoated or painted black?
I need to order that zaino package for my car...nice results. Heheh good thing you picked-up a lot of supplies keeping black looking good is a never-ending effort!

I always loved that bike and thought our cars would look real good with the same look. The zaino package is def worth the money. Thanks.

Thanks Deedubb. Yeah I love that house, but unforunately we will have to sell it soon. Was our primary residence in Maryland, but now we are up in NY and that house is just too big to keep and not use. Probably get a condo instead. And yes that pinstriping idea has gone a long way. I have people ask me on a weekly basis what I did to get the red stripe, and they are so suprised that it only costs like $4.
Funny thing about that driveway. It is so wide that people actually have a hard time backing out because they get "lost" in it. Ive seen numerous people run over the railroad ties, its so funny (but sad at the same time that some people's driving skills are so bad).
And picking up on what CarandDriver said, yeah that driveway is a bitch. Its has very little dust (its actually shells), but those shells get stuck in your shoes and then tracked in the car. So annoying, but I would rather deal with sea shells, than deal with NY's salty winters.
Thanks again for all the compliments.
