Took about 100 pictures when we found the spot this evening. If you feel like browsing through the unedited mongo-sized pics they're sitting at http://jacob.estoncom.com/images/car...edited/030804/ (modems beware).

Yup!
Just finished the polish and started driving around frantically looking for a good place to snap off a couple of pictures while there was still some sun. I thought that at the bottom of the stairs at Ohlone, right in front of the pond at the top of the horseshoe would be perfect if enough sunlight made it through the trees, but when I got there I found out that it's closed off to busses only! WTF, it was open to traffic five years ago!!
Anyway, tooled around the parking area for a few minutes, went all the way up the north road with just 10 minutes of sunlight left, got to the fenced off area (that leads to the big pond in back), made a U-turn to start to leave, and suddenly saw this tiny driveway with three tiny parking spots. It was the perfect spot, could see the whole bay from there with almost no obstructions since it was at a very steep part of the hill.
I'll definitely be going back there to snap more pics.
