TN 04-05 AT matching PCM, EPS/ABS/etc. modules, key(s)/cylinders etc.

Category: Engine - Electrical
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TN
Item Condition: Used

I have an 04 4 port automatic car with a bad PCM. I want to avoid the need to program the PCM at the dealership since the nearest one is almost 2 hours away and I can't do it myself, and this is for a cheap flip car. So I need, all from a matching donor car being parted, the following parts:

PCM
ignition switch with working key(s)
driver door lock cylinder
trunk lock cylinder
any key fobs
keyless entry module
auto trans control module
EPS power steering module
the electrical plastic half of the ABS module (the ABS module must say BOSCH on top and have the connector in the front)

IF you can supply all of these parts from a single car that you saw run and drive, post or PM with a total shipped to 37814.

looks like a good parts list for a doing a 4AT to 6MT swap too

With all the part outs this shouldn't be too unrealistic of an ask.

Good luck!

Yeah, if someone is doing a manual swap the way my AT to MT thread outlines, these are the parts they'd have left over.

I am also thinking about just doing a manual engine build and manual swapping this auto car if a good deal on these parts doesnt pop up fairly quickly. I have a complete manual parts car and I obviously know how to do the swap lol.

If this is still an open issue, check with Circuit Board Medics. If the old PCM is still functional at all, they can read the config data and transfer it to a used one. They have done 2 for me and a few others. Ask for Justin. Beats swapping all that stuff. Price is around $150, I think.

In light of the diminished market value of used rx8s at this point and especially the low demand for auto cars, I am planning to just manual swap it using parts from a donor parts car I have...this will get me around the issues I am currently having plus also increase the value of the car.

Also just to correct the info in this thread, circuit board medics apparently charges $300 for mazda PCM repair, which is basically what a used PCM plus dealer reprogramming would cost.
