Yup still got em. These things are perfect also. I mean not a single
Scratch or anything. They've been sitting in boxes. Brand new ones aren't this nice.

It's a great price but it's so hard to sell niche items like this in "this economy"

Same across all sectors. You can either practically give them away or stick it out.

The worst thing you can do is keep lowering your price and devalue the market

Sure...it's a great price...compared to going to Mazda. But if I can get a set of Enkei's for $1100 which would you buy? The style of the R3 wheel is great...and they are in demand...but new Enkei's vs. used OEM...the Enkei's win for me.

You can get a set of 19x8 enkeis that weigh ~21lbs for $1100?

The RP03, the only one a quick google found, would be about $1600.

Gt01s are 23 lbs and almost $500/each.

Well I'm not going any lower. I'm not in a hurry to move these wheels they are just taking up space in my shop. I appreciate all the input guys. I'm new to the Mazda scene but not the car scene.

^ That's not even taking into account that these are forged BBS rims. Here's the closest approximation I could find (BBS F1): http://goo.gl/ag4ar

^ The cheapest in that Google shopping list is $1,948.

Add to that, these are uniquely suited for rotary cars, with the rotary design built subtly into it.

AZ_R3 - I specifically looked for exact match to S1 stock 18x8 which Tirerack is selling RPF1's for $1100 as to me...the 19" vs 18" is a wash looks wise...weight is 4lbs less per wheel...and then new vs. used...

09blueR3 - You will find a buyer at your price in time and I wish ya luck. Just may take a bit...

Aye, good catch.

BBS > Enkei. Period. Full stop.

yeah, 18 vs. 19 is a wash, thats why the cost is exactly the same

I'll try that argument next time I buy wheels.

Didnt' say that the cost was the same. What I was trying to show was that from the buyers perspective you can get really nice wheels new for less than the asking price of these used wheels. If the seller is willing to wait around for someone that sees the value and wants these wheels at this price then that's great. If he wants to move them in under a week it ain't gonna happen.

They are OEM wheels but keep in mind, they're OEM wheels for the R3 Package.
These wheels are forged BBS Wheels. Enkei's are overplayed, I've seen those on so many 8s as they're light weight affordable wheels. After you drive a mile, your wheel is considered used, there's nothing wrong with pre-owned wheels.

As someone that bought Speed6 wheels for his RX8...I understand the form over function argument. I have never said anything negative about the R3 wheels...all I have said is...that the wheels are not a steal at this price. You can call the price fair or reasonable...but not great. At this price the OP can expect them to go in time as there are going to be a number of people that will pay $1500 for them...it just won't happen in a week.

OP is free to ask whatever he wants for his R3 wheels. As others mentioned, they are not getting any love due to price or lack of demand for them. Check out this craigslist ad for some E46 M3 wheels

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...024805708.html

This dude has been advertising them for almost 2 years now. I **** you not. Think he gets the message?
