all i'm doing is making note of this to which ever buyer because you could run into problems with running a tire that is wider than the rim (ex. traction control especially on the RWD) and you can tell from the 4th picture the rim is just inside the tire.

here are some other pictures of these tires mounted on other wheels:
Here is a diagram of the DSC system:
2004 RX-8 - O-2a Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) System
This system is "sensor-driven" and "dynamic" (hence the name DSC); meaning that it will adapt based on the amount of traction that is available at each individual wheel- if it didn't, this system would be more like switching differentials from an "open" to a "2-way", which it's not.
The dynamic capability of this system allows all of the sensors to "pick-up" the speed of each individual wheel and make calculations to limit the speed of some of the wheels. So changing the WIDTH of the wheels will not limit the function of the DSC.
Changing the wheel DIAMETER (not the width) from the OEM 18" DIAMETER to a 19" or 20" wheel DIAMETER, may have an effect on the transmission speed sensor, but these AXIS wheels are the same DIAMETER as the OEM Rx8 wheels and as such, will not effect how the transmission speed sensor functions.
