AFE Short Shifter, 4k miles.
Selling a Used AFE Short shifter like title says. I love it but,
I'm having warranty transmission work done so this has got to go.
Buyer must have paypal ready to go - pays 3% fees or "gift".
$215 Shipped to continental 48 states.
SOLD

why not put it back after the warranty work is done? That's what I did when my transmission was replaced.
if you're thining the shifter might have caused the damage, there's pretty much no way a properly installed AFE SS can do that.

I talked with the Tech at Mazda. He's done 3 RX-8 Transmissions (all 6-speeds).
The synchro material has been changed to a harder compound supposedly.
He said it's from driving it hard (I occasionally track my car).
Either way, I hardly drive my 8 anymore now that it's nice out (Riding the bike).
So basically - it's a common problem unrelated to having a AFE SS. Research 2nd gear downshift.
Like mentioned before: If properly installed, doing proper rev-matching and being "nice" to your transmission - you shouldn't have any problems.
I suppose with a short throw your more likely to "slam" it into gears which is bad for your trans - short throw or no short throw.
Pics.
Will ship Thursday if funds clear.
