being in texas have you had any issues of the pc overheating during the summer, when i was thinking of making one the houston heat was something i was considering

 

No, I never did. It got very hot. I don't mean 100 hot... like 130-150 (just estimation). But it never shut down or turned off. If I wasn't selling I was going to create a ventilation system to pump air from the cabin to the trunk into the PC.

But looking back it would have been smarter to put it under the passenger seat.

Anyways, no overheating that I encountered. Not to say it won't happen to you. But using low-power mobo and HDD and all that can help prevent that.

I am sorry no one replies, but your hardware is getting kinda outdated for my needs. All I could need would be the Navigation Panel, cause I intend to hook up my laptop instead, which i can take along in case I need to and can't transfer my data via network. When you offer just the NAV with the touchscreen, you can make me an offer for that.
I have a macbook available with an intel chipset and 3GB memory for this purpose. Your hardware could not handle my applications in need anyway.

 

Well okay... my "hardware" is a carPC, it's doing carPC stuff, which is is more than adequate designed for. Besides, I've got a buyer who is about to commit.
