NY DOUBLE 2004 Part Out! Winning Blue/Titanium Grey Parts

Category: Accessories
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I
Location (US State/Canada/Int): NY
Item Condition: Used

Background:
I have TWO 2004 manual RX8s for part out - sort of. The grey car is running, however has the engine from my blue car in it. I have all the engine accessories and some various things from the grey car available, hence why I've listed it. The rust on the blue car was too extensive to repair, so I opted to buy a clean car with a blown engine or no engine and stick my working one into it. And thus, here we are.

Decoding the VIN via the link above just now, it looks like the blue car was AT from factory, it was not this way when I picked it up five years ago.

The blue car had 155,xxx miles on it when I pulled the engine out of it. The transmission does not have that many miles on it. I replaced it when my master and slave cylinder failed and I ground gears for roundabout a thousand miles. I picked up a used one which now has about 50k on it. It is a base sport MT with cloth interior and no options. The seats have some previous smoker damage (ashes appear to have partially melted the passenger seat material in spots) but do not smell of smoke. I do not smoke, I picked the car up with that damage.

The grey car had 101,000 miles on it when I picked it up and a spare blown engine in pieces. It came from Michigan near Detroit, but may have been a southern vehicle beforehand - the car is very clean and so are all the components I have from it.

UPDATE 5/17/17: Sold items removed from posting, all prices dropped, hopefully priced to sell!

UPDATE 1/21/17: Both cars are sold. The engine blew in the grey car 800 miles later. I have parts available from the blue car and anything else listed here and/or pictured in the album. I need to start moving items, so please shoot me an offer if you don't like a price! This stuff HAS TO MOVE!

What is NOT for sale:
  • The rotor housings, rotors, irons, end plates and e-shaft, unless you plan on overpaying for them. I still intend to rebuild that engine.
Selling Notes:
  • If it isn't listed for sale,
reply or PM and I will tell you if I have it and give a price!

  • If it isn't pictured, reply or PM and I will take pictures!

  • Pricing is flexible, low-ball offers will be ignored.
  • Buyer pays shipping. I will bill shipping to the buyer whenever possible. My preferred service is FedEx unless I can strike up a deal with a friend of mine who owns a UPS location. You are free to request a specific shipping service however.

  • Buyer arranges shipping for the transmission.
  • I work M-F 8am-5-ish-PM in an auto shop therefore I may not be able to quote estimates or ship items until the weekend. This goes for all items.
  • International shipping is going to be massively expensive, if you can't afford it, don't ask.
  • All items ship from 14150. Feel free to guesstimate your own shipping quotes.

Items for Sale:

Item: Coolant Hoses
Specifics: From the grey car. All in excellent shape.
Price: $10/hose.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: OEM A/C Condenser/Radiator Combo
Specifics: From the blue car. ~155K miles. Has a broken nipple (to the coolant reservoir) but is otherwise in good shape. It ran with one epoxied on for as long as I've had the car and I assume can be repaired as such. A/C condenser comes with it, I believe it's bolted on to the radiator.
Price: $50
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: Pioneer Head Unit
Specifics: About five years old. Don't know the model number offhand, but it supports iPod/iPhone up to iPhone 5(?) via USB. AM/FM radio, single CD, AUX input, customizable color display in two zones - keys and LED display. Does not include a dash kit to install it. Axxess box with wiring and steering wheel control adapter may be available at a later date, if I don't need them for my tablet head unit install, at an additional charge.
Price: $25
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: Center Console Trim
Specifics: Some scuffs in the silver sides. No cracks, but the decorative button on the center slider is missing.

Item: Door Sills
Specifics: Some usual scuffs after so many miles. Decent condition. No broken tabs/pieces.
Price: $25
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: Series II Replica Tails for Series I
Specifics: Very very new, less than a year old if I'm not mistaken. Condensation killed 3 of the lower passenger LEDs though. Units work as intended otherwise.
Price: $100
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: Gauge Cluster
Specifics: In working condition. Very clean for the mileage. Off the blue car.
Price: $25
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: Engine/Transmission Computers
Specifics: In working condition. Off the blue car.

All payments are via Paypal unless paying cash for local pickup. If you opt to use the purchase goods option instead of a gift, add 3% to the price to cover the Paypal fee.

I do have them, but they likely have 155k miles on them and I do need to keep the car mobile so my buddy can snag it in a week or two. Unless they're not essential for the struts but since they bolt in I'd have to assume they are.

I do not have the undertray. I do have the side markers, but they're smoked accents and don't completely seal. What wiring do you need specifically?

What do you mean they don't completely seal ?
The black wiring that comes in to the wheel well from front top part of it (that supposed to have a plug or plugs that abs sensor wire plug connects to, and maybe something else, not sure cuz in the left side there's 2 connections) is either cut or ripped short.

I mean the markers have condensation in them. They've been on the car quite some time and were never right from the company I bought them from.

If you can send me a picture of the wiring you need I might be able to get it, but I don't want to sell my buddy a completely stripped car.

Both my driver's side exhaust pieces are damaged. I can get you that trim panel for the rear seats, and the back trunk panel, but the trunk panel has some deep scratches in it. $30 for both plus shipping.

I also only have one battery cover. Sorry!

Update: OEM cat is sold. Grey car is now toast as well. Threw an apex seal and I don't have the cash for a second swap.

BHR ignition kit including brand new plugs, RB dual resonator and TurboXS muffler are up for sale. Will update sale post after work today.

How much for the bhr setup? Are the rotor housings to far gone to sell or are you planning on using them?

PM sent. Now that holiday madness is over, we all have tax returns coming hopefully, and I have a car again, I'll be paying much closer attention to this thread. Shoot me an offer if you don't like a price, I need to get rid of these items ASAP!
