I've never heard of front and rear rotors not being interchangeable. Make sure you get the correct rotor weight that matches. Class A can be used with class B. class B rotors can be used with either A or C. and so on and so forth.

Same here but the part numbers are different from what I can see so I would verify with ASH8 by sending him a PM.

The weight is different between the rotors. you need a rotor with the same stamp as what you had.

Front and rear rotors are different because the bevels for the exhaust ports are reversed front to rear. You can adapt an opposite rotor to work by adding the missing bevels on the correct spot to line up with the exhaust ports.

The weight codes/letters are a valid point but I've found them to be less than accurate. A should be the heaviest and E the lightest of a given version of rotor. But there are times when I find a B lighter than a C for instance. IT's always the best option to weigh both rotors on an accurate scale, you want to see them within 0.1lb of each other, the closer the better...and preferably with the front rotor being the lightest of the two.

Thank you all I was finally able to find one locally. I looked at the rotors carefully. Rotaryresurection thanks for the insight. If you place the rotors facing the same direction you will see they are identical. What makes them different is where the stationary gear is placed. This is where the "eyebrow" comes into play so that it can "sweep" the exhaust out of the port. Once I was visually able to compare the two the light bulb turned on. Thanks all

It was posted around the sametime I got the explanation from you but I'm a visual learner and it all clicked once I saw it on my work table. I wondered how long it was gonna take you to say something!

Your e-mail got me wondering what kind of explanations you may have received from others prior to contacting me and I wondered about the variations in the responses you got. Plus, you KNOW I am an attention-seeking *****.
