KS Feeler Complete R3 interior Seats and doors

Category: Interior
Price: $3000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): KS
Item Condition: Used

Just posting a Feeler,
I have tracked down a wrecked 2009 R3, with pristine Recaro seats and door panels, and nice (but not mint) wheels.
I want the wheels, and am wondering if there is interest enough in someone buying all four seats, plus the matching door panels to cover enough of the purchase cost that I can get the wheels.

Is $3K for all four R3 seats and matching door panels a gotta have it price? If so I'll go see if I can get the interior and wheels bought...

Richard

Not to threadjack or anything...but are the side skirts still in good shape? I've been looking into buying a set for my car, but I figured I'd ask since you posted this.

I don't think it's a got to have it price. A few years ago I had the opportunity to buy that same thing from a member for $1,300 shipped. I passed and he sold it on ebay for around $1,900.

A rare find indeed, although your price point seems a little high... even if they are out of production.

Keep the opinions coming. I figured matched front seats, rear seats, and door panels was worth more than just the front seats. So far no one has gone "Ooh Ahh" and whipped out their checkbook.

My most recent data point e was a set of front seats only that was for sale here for $2800, that did eventually sell, despite the price getting a lot of flack about being too high.

How about just the front seats? What's the going rate on those?
I've heard time and again $1500 for a pair of front R3 seats, but I've never found a set listed at that low of price, and only seen one set (With blown airbags) dip under the $2K mark.

Thanks,
Richard

What color is the car and where is it damaged? The wheels and interior are obviously worth the most, but there is enough demand for other Series II bits that if there are enough un-damaged pieces you may not have to recoup your $$$ on just the interior.

That's my worry too. not much easy stuff is left on this car. The car got hit HARD in back, which pushed it up under some sport ute, damaging the front end. So pretty much every body part is damaged except the doors and roof.

The middle structure of the car is sound. it runs and drives, the front radiator support is bent up a little,, and the trunk area / rear deck/ spoiler are junk.

So it's interior, wheels, Bilstein suspension parts, engine and transmission, glass, passenger airbag that are worth the easy money. But of those only the interior parts are easy enough to ship for me to want to cherry pick.

A S2 rear diff is something I'd be interested in.

I'm getting prices for the interior and wheels tomorrow or Tuesday from the junkyard. Stay tuned. I'll ask about the Differential too.

If it all falls apart for me, I'll PM people the name of the junkyard that has it.

Send me a PM if you are interested in something specific.

Update: I've got a price on the interior. If shipping goes well, I'll have it and the wheels this time next week.

$2500 gets you all four seats R3, and all four matching R3 door panels. You cover actual shipping. Condition when I saw the car was Very good, no noticeable damage, airbags intact, all from a 40K mile car.

I'll give it until this time next week (Noon CST July 25th) for someone to promise to buy the whole set. (all four seats, all four door panels.) I won't accept any money until I've personally inspected them and photographed them after removal. Ya never know what Junkyard mechanics are going to do, even though I've stressed the importance of minty parts.

Please reply if you are committed to buying them, conditional on pictures meeting your expectations.
"I will take them!" takes preference to "I'm interested"
PM time stamp is first preference.
Reply to thread is second place to PMs

This time next week, if no one wants all the seats and all the door panels, I'll break them up into front seats, rear seats, and door panels. Please no dibs on individual parts yet until I post individual parts and pricing

That or I'll convert my S1 into a R3 interior. Anyone tried to stick S2 door panels on S1 doors?

Any chance of us getting a price on the other parts asked about as well, or is that completely out of the question?

They said $1200 for the Differential 2009 model. 40K miles R3 (Though I don't know that the R3 got any better Differential than the non R3's in 09.)

If you are interested, PM me and I'll get you the junkyards name and number, and guy to talk to.

I'm supposed to be getting pictures of everything in the next hour. I think side skirts probably lived just fine, bud didn't want to say until I saw them.

Pics of R3 Seat wear

Here are pictures I had them take noting specifically anything that was not immaculate.
As you can see each seat bolster shows only the slightest amount of wear from getting in and out. After cleaning I hope to rate these a 9 out of 10 condition.

Drivers Side (first two pics)

and Passenger side (Second two pics)

They said the spots on the passenger seat fabric are dusty dirt that should vacuum out. Those spots were from the dusty front grill piece that was sitting on the seat. I'll be the judge and will post better pics when they are in my possession.

KS Pics of the car

Here are pics of the wrecked R3. Seats , door panels, and wheels are mine. The rest is up for sale.

Side skirts look good. I'm waiting for a call back on how much for them. Sometimes they have been reasonable on cost, other times they've been awful proud for what they have. Though I don't havet enough data points to really make a trend.

PM me if you want the Junkyard's contact information. I'l share after I get my seats and wheels from them. Then you can call them directly, but maybe you should ask me to ask them for you. I've built a good working relationship with one of the guys, and he's starting to see that I have a better handle on the RX8 market than he does. As a result I'm working on getting him to offer better pricing when talking to me as I'm helping to bring more business to him. So I guess I'm saying if you let me help, it might be cheaper if you ask me first. Plus I get more Karma credit from him if I need something little some time.
