FS: 2 OEM Rx8 Shift Boots
#4
These boots came with my 5 & 6 speed illuminated Rx8 *****. The ***** obviously are for an Rx8. However I will be using them in my FC and FD so the boots will not work. The illuminated ***** weren't available as an options in the US so I guess these would really be OEM Euro spec boots that have button clips.
Yeah well I am usually on Rx7club.

The button is on these boots because they are intended to be used with an Illuminated Rx8 ****. The button would allow you to open the boot and disconnect the wires attached to the **** before you start to unscrew the **** and rip the wires off instead. Obviously you don't have to have an illuminated **** to use these though.

Someone PM'd me yesterday to buy the 2nd boot. I gave them my Paypal info but I have yet to receive payment. I'll give them 24 hours to make the payment to my paypal acct. If they don't come through then it's yours Biatch!
Kev, when did you swap the Denali engine out for a z06 engine and get an 85 vette? **** man, your garage has changed since I was down there. You had the Denali with dreams of a turbo kit for it and you had your FD back then... All that has changed and my damn car STILL is not done!

So, whats the word?
I sold my old denali that I had when you were around, and got a NBS 02, the ones with the hole punch grilles. Which is what I really wanted when I bought the older 99 that I had. This one had a 6 liter iron block LS engine, which I had a lifter go bad on and eventually I spun a cam bearing and trashed all the bearings in the bottom end. So I just got the rebuilt ls6 to drop in...aluminum block, lower displacement, but higher compression with the z06 cam so it makes more power even though it is still using truck intake and accessories. It looks like a stock truck motor because of the accessories. I can get a retune on the truck computer and get more power out of it, probably more than a stock z06. Of course it runs good, but it will never feel like it would in a vette, due to the extra, oh, 2300lb or so.
I actually have twin turbo stuff sitting around for the truck as well, just havent had time to fabricate it.
I got the vette from my dad, who had it since the early 90s. He let it sit around and ruin, and decided to give it to me to restore since he will never do **** with it. It barely ran, needs weatherstrip, carpet, paint, lights, etc. And he has a c5 also, and of course it is sitting around and ruining as we speak.

I received one of the boots.
Just as pictured. Perfect condition.
Thank you Juiceh
I am going to keep this as a backup boot. One thing I like about the Polak leather boot for the illuminated shift **** is it will fit over the **** after the **** is installed. This one could if I cut a stitch or two but I don't feel it is necessary.

I don't think he lists one but you could send him a message to ask him.
