FS: 4 RX-8 Sport Rims for Winter Tires - NY/NJ/CT

4 17" Rims for Winter Tires. Orig. Cost $1,700. Offered at $500 OBO.

Sold my 2004 RX-8 so no need for these anymore:

The winter tires are going with the rims. 2 of the winter tires are in pretty good shape - almost full tread life. No road rash or scrapes, but I would say two definitely need to be replaced soon if not right away as they are worn down pretty good.

Tires currently on rims: Michelin Alpin Pilot 225/50 R17

Just a note: I really do not want to ship these, so I would rather deal with someone local. I can help getting them to your house if the distance is reasonable as I have a truck. Just about anywhere in the tri-state area could probably be worked out.

Any quesitons, please e-mail me at cshaffer18 @ yahoo.com (Remove spaces)

I've got a couple of low ball offers from Craigs List, but I'd hate to let them go for so little. Rims are in great shape, and would make a very nice winter set. I'll give it another couple days otherwise I'll have to let them go. I was hoping to put them on my replacement car, but they don't fit. E-mail me interested.

Shoot me an e-mail at cshaffer18@yahoo.com and I'll e-mail you full res pics of the rims. No scratches or damage, but in the pics I posted you do see some soap residue as it started raining when I was cleaining them, and I didn't get them wiped down well.

hey man, i just bought my rx8 and i live in new jersey, and I am curious as to how this whole snow tire/rim deal goes. Do I have to buy both new rims and tires for the snow, or can I use the rims I have now with snow tires? Also, the tires/rims you have listed, will they fit for an 06 shinka? Thanks in advance.

I think most people buy a second set of rims for their winter tires. It makes it easier to change, and you don't risk chewing up your rims and damaging the tires changing mounting and dismounting them from your stock rims. I can't say for sure, but I believe all the RX-8s have the same bolt pattern and these rims should fit any 8. Maybe someone else can confirm.

3 light driving winters, but I left them on too far into the summer one year, which wore down the tread on two of them. I think two are easily saved, but I am selling them more as the rims, and if you can get anything out of the tires think of it as a bonus.

These are 17 inch rims, so your 18s won't fit.
