FS: Brand new Metra kit
Ok this is probably not the best place to introduce myself but here goes. Been coming to this board for many years now and after waiting 3 years was finally able to buy an 07 wwp about a year and a half ago. Needless to say this place has been awesome considering this is my first rotary.
In regards to the item that is for sale, I'm selling the new Double din high gloss Metra kit that was just released about a month or so ago. The kit is brand new and was never installed. The reason I'm selling it is because I am not happy with the finish of the product. For those that have been following the Metra thread in the interior forum, it seems like the clearcoat for these kits is sub par. I actually thought I might have had a damaged kit but this is how the kits were actually produced.
Basically there are some very fine light scuffs and a couple of pin hole marks in the clearcoat. All that is needed is a wetsand and polish to fix these issues. I just don't feel like compromising the finish any further and don't feel like messing around with the thing and rather sell it even though the fitment of this kit is top notch. The plan was to install this with a kenwood dnx8120 but lets just say refinishing and painting is not my field of expertise.
I'm looking to get $150 for it. I paid $195 for the kit and just want to sell it to someone who is looking for this kit at a discounted price.
Currently at work and will post pics asap. Again the kit is brand new.
Sorry about the long post and thanks for any possible interest.
Edit: Ok pics have been put up. I have a couple for more pics if necessary. Honestly, the minor imperfections I listed (pin holes) are very difficult to pick up with the camera I'm using. The clear coat basically looks like it has some orange peel. Tried to show that in the pics as well.
Other then that the the kit is flawless. I should mention that these kits also don't match the factory piano black color being that the shade is a bit off.

I apologize if there is an issue with posting a FS thread as new user. I'm not much of a poster, never have been. I could easily put this on ebay or craigslist but figured I'd post it here for anybody that is looking for this item at a lower price. Seriously not trying to offend anybody. Just don't want this thing to go to waste.

sick, no issues at all I was just pointing out a slight contradiction to your post. Did you just browse here as a guest and register recently?
We have seen quite a few members get scammed in the past by sellers with low post counts so just trying to look out for my fellow rotorheads. No disrepect intended
P.S. Pics of the Metra kit would probably help. You can edit your original post and add them there.

I just registered here but have been browsing since around june of 04. just couldn't afford the damn thing at that time.
Will look to have pics up by tomorrow. For anybody who wants a good idea of what it looks like for the time being, the metra thread has some pics that show the clear coat issues. Maybe it's just because of the first run of production but the clear was a bit of a let down considering how nice the rest of the kit is.
