FS: Cobalt Friction GT-Sport track/race pads
SOLD SOLD SOLD!
-----------------------
Selling Cobalt Friction GT-Sport front and rear RX-8 pads. Used for two track days (1hr 20min each day) on Mont Tremblant and about 600 miles of street driving.
Asking $160 + actual shipping. I paid $288 brand new for this set.
The pads have even wear, about 7-8mm left on the rear, about 9mm on the front. Each pad is labeled with the corner it was on and whether it was inside or outside. When I did the math after I took the pads off, I calculated they had about 6 more track days left in them (given the same wear rate until the pads wore to a 2mm meat thickness).
These are great track pads that are also well-behaved when cold, so you can drive the car on the street to the track event without a problem. The only downside to these pads in street driving is that sometimes they can get noisy/squeal towards the end of a stop. They also dust a good amount over stock pads.
Overall, I was very impressed with these pads. They have a strong initial bite, they were easy to modulate, felt really good. When I ran these pads, I also had stainless steel brake lines and Motul RBF 600 brake fluid, and the braking remained consistent from the morning driving to the track, throughout the day and to the drive after the track, two days in a row.

Rear pads:
Boxes:
Selling because I now have a Miata. Local pickup available.

Bump for some awesome pads. I have 6 track weekends and about 7,000 street miles on mine and they are probably good for another track event. I'd be all over these if I weren't switching to the XR2/XR5 combo.

bump...
..take this opportunity to get & try some decent pads like these for the RX-8. This is cheap to
experience what good street/track pads really feel like...I had them before going XR5/XR2 and loved them.
