FS: (Dallas) Koni SA and Mazdaspeed springs
I sold my RX-8 and the new owners agreed to buy it in stock form. I'm selling my low mileage Koni sport (yellow) shocks and Mazdaspeed springs. Here's the only catch, if you want to buy them then you need to come help me pull them. I still have my factory suspension so you can keep yours.
Looking for Dallas/Fort Worth people only, or if you're willing to drive down from say Austin/Houston. Also prefer that you've done this before.
Asking $400 for the Konis (paid 600 shipped new) and $175 for the Mazdaspeed springs.
PM me if you're interested, I need to get this done by middle of next week (11/14/2007)

Depends on what you mean by best. But in general yes Koni makes great shocks and Mazdaspeed did their homework on spring rates. The combo works great with minimal lowering but maximum performance. The car handles completely different with this setup, much sharper and faster turn in etc. It is a bit stiffer than stock for sure though, I have them turned up about 3/4 of the way, the shocks are adjustable.

Anyone else who is interested please PM me ASAP and make plans to help pull this stuff.

Sorry I prefer someone with good mechanical aptitude. I can't screw it up, the car is already sold so it needs to be done correctly. I may just end up pulling them on my own and selling for more since it doesn't look like there are any takers.

I am far from mechanically retarded lol. I am just saying I am inexperienced with taking the suspension apart. I understand though. If you can find absolutely no one else, I will still be here.

Install the suspension incorrectly, you cant brake or turn, go into oncoming traffic or into a tree, and you die

True. I am just saying I don't have experience, not that I don't know what to do. Only one way to learn, right? I guess if you get them off the car and no one offers, I will still buy them. I have all weekend to come get them.

Exactly, I'm not taking the liability of selling someone a car with suspension that isn't put together correctly. I know it's put together perfectly now and I'd rather eat some money and give them the upgrade then risk it. I think I could do it again by myself but it's not worth the hassle without help

Will also consider someone with low mileage suspension that will do a straight swap for the Konis/MS and cash. It would save me time to not take apart the spring/shock and reassemble and just swap full coilover units.
500 cash plus trade for your stock and you can take my low mileage dissaembled stock units home as well. This is a steal, the shocks are 550 by themselves new.
