Hi - I'm very interested in the wheels/tires combo. I've done a number of track days on my road tires and think it's time to get an inexpensive dedicated track set.

So honest question, I'm new to r-comp tires and evaluating how long they last:
-what percentage of these tires "life" is remaining? in terms of depth? or heat cycles? or track sessions/days?
I really dont know what the right metrics are here.

Would I be able to get a few casual time trial days out of them (with ~4 20-min sessions each)? This is assuming I'm NOT too concerned about performance, I'm assuming they will still be grippier than my regular road tires even if they are fairly worn. I'm mostly concerned about not chunking up my expensive road tires.

Oh, and estimated shipping to 06510 ? thanks.
Please let me know ASAP, (feel free to call me) as I have a track day coming up soon!

These are probably perfect for you then. I haven't really noticed the performance of these tires drop off. My last track day in November i actually had a new personal best time so either the my driving skill is improving at a faster rate than these are falling off or they're just not falling off yet. Hard to say. I think with the mentality of "I'm not too concerned about performance" with these tires is a good one to have. They're going to be a lot grippier than your street tires but might start to fall off after a bit since they're not brand new. I had planned on running these all 2012 season until they were completely toast. But now that my BBK doesn't allow it someone else gets to do that.

Shipping is probably around $160

Let me know if you're interested.

Hey thanks for the info. after doing a lot of thinking, I'm sorry to get both of our hopes up, I just dont think this is going to work out logistically. Mostly because I live in a tiny apartment with no garage and dont think i have a good place to keep an extra set of wheels. Grr...i need a garage ASAP....

The set seems perfect for someone in my situation though, i'm surprised you havnt found a buyer yet. Sorry to disappoint ;-( Thanks again, good luck with the sale....
