I can't believe someone who owns these wheels would bash someones for sale thread and purposely de-value his own investment by saying the seller is price gauging. but besides that, 1K for new in the box 19" rims??? what is wrong with you people? let the guy sell his damn wheels for craps sake. why does this whel being discontinued make them worth less? in every other instance it works the other way.

Never called dibs on Lespers wheels, although I was interested. We spoke about it but never worked out. I couldn't wait for shinka b/c those rims weren't available and as for c41250n's wheels, i found my current set brand new, and cheaper. Thats about it. If thats hypocrital, then so be it.

Well whatever the circumstances, the lecture you gave RX8 Fanatic was hypocritical, telling him not to do this in the future and that what he did was "UNBELIEVABLE" when you did the exact same thing recently.

The only difference is that you blew off your deal w/ c42150n because you found a better deal (which IMO makes perfect sense)... And that RX8 Fanatic blew off his deal with you because he decided he didn't really like the rims anymore for his particular car... (which is also a no brainer)

I am sick of beating this issue to a dead horse, but people wanna keep chiming in with their opinions, (and rightfully so, since I, nor anybody owns this forum), but I will repeat, I did not call any dibs on Lespers wheels, I went back and forth with him just once asking him what his best price was, I never called Dibs. Also, I REALLY wanted Shinka's Hiro's but they were NOT available when I wanted them.
Simple as that.

So tell me my friend, and now you yourself agree that it was fair for moving on from C42150n's wheels since I found a better deal. If all instances are legit, then how was I a hyporcrit ?!? I'm done with this issue. For all the people that are helpful here, Thank You, and all the rest who just wanna hear themself talk, seriously, F&ck Off.

I think due to all this controversy, I will just suck it up, and buy some 19" tires.

You completely bitched out RX8 Fanatic because he had showed interest in your rims and then backed out, calling it "UNBELIEVABLE" When in all fairness, you did the exact same thing to c42150n when you backed out of your deal with him... No matter what the reasoning behind it, you both backed out of a deal...

You completely trashing RX8 Fanatic for what he did and calling it unbeilievable, when you did the same thing and think it is perfectly ok, well that is what makes you a hypocrite...

 

Hey man, I'm not sure what your trying to prove here, nor do I know what you will get out of proving me wrong for me bitching out Fanatic. Fact is, you really don't know all of the detail behind our deal. I'll just say this, and i'm sure he can attest to this as well, we 'shook hands' on the deal, and I was awaiting payment the day he backed out. You can ask any of the guys I was inquiring rims from: Shinka, Lesper and also c42150n, we never even got close to that situation.

I respect you trying to shed your humble opinion on the situation, but fact is, that noone really knows what happened and the details of the deal aside from him and I. I was getting ready to ship the wheels out and was awaiting payment. He also asked me "so what is the final number we agreed upon, so I know for Paypal."

I never got into any depth of transaction detail to any of the above respective sellers. I am sure they can all agree. (no disrespect to any of them.)

I think that answers your question about me being a hypocrit. Also I am very very flattered that people on this forum care so much about the details of a sale that they have no interest in. I think this is all I have. I'm not looking keep beating the issue. . Please don't respond unless you want to bump or havea question about the wheels. Thanks !

ok maybe 'bash' isn't the right word? maybe 'walking all over someone's for sale post'? maybe 'butting in to a guy's thread', 'hijacking' ? Whatever you want to call it, I just think it is generally inconsiderate that somebody would purposely try to ruin a guy's for sale ad, like a 5 year old saying 'he did it! he did it!' ....instead: 'you're charging too much! you're charging too much!' Why is that necessary? His reason is that he didn't want somebody to pay too much? watching people's back? Please! If you can't research the market on your own, that is your fault - it wasn't like he was asking $2500 or something; you gotta pay to play when you step up to 19 inch rims no? What's wrong with $1k for these new rims that you can't get any more? The kicker for me is, that he actually has these rims, and if it were me, I'd like to see the values on them remain high, in case I'd ever want to sell them. I sold a set of these rims myself (with tires) used for $1200 not too long ago, and thought that was fair. Every other forum that I belong to (car related or otherwise) strictly prohibits 'bashing' somebody for trying to sell things at a price they feel is 'too high for the market' or whatever. I am just trying to understand why things are different here.
